Calisthenics (Body Weight Training)

Today I want introduce you to Calisthenics. Calisthenics is exercising while doing different variations with your own body weight. It is intendend to increase body strength, body fitness, and flexibility, through movements such as  pulling or pushing oneself up, bending, jumping, or swinging. Typicall exercises like push ups, pull ups, chin ups, squats, sit ups and dips are the core of this sport. So basically, calisthenics is an option for people who cant afford a membership at the gym or dont even want to train with weights, because they don't enjoy it. The amazing thing about it is that you can literally do it ANYWHERE you want.

I personally do calisthenics on my own because I wasn't able to go to the gym for some reasons and I have to say I don't regret it. It is so much fun. It also helped me to gain muscle mass and more important, body strength. Thanks to that I am now able to do some cool and impressive movements.

Now look at these incredible body transformations by only doing body weight exercises!

I love calisthenics, I lifted weights for years and had no idea how out of tune I had become until I tried using a set of rings a friend of mine had. Great post!
