1. Crypto Advertisers On Google Adwords Report Ad Suspensions And Account Terminations

Key Highlights:

  • "Some advertisers using Google Adwords to promote cryptocurrency related businesses are seeing a drop in their ad views, with other users posting about suspension of both their ads and their accounts"

  • “In an email to Finance Magnates, Google Adwords also denied any change in their Financial Services regulations that would block cryptocurrency or ICO related advertisements”

Crypto Phil's Take:

I wonder if Google is going to pull a similar move to Facebook's recent policy changes regarding advertising crypto. This is probably a good thing in terms of adding legitimacy to cryptocurrencies. I've seen a lot of crypto related ads and a large amount of them come across as get rich quick schemes. It definitely comes across as shady and doesn't lend credibility to cryptocurrencies.

2. Crypto Markets Bounce Back To Red, Volatility Still High

Key Highlights:

  • "March 11: following a day of slight recovery, cryptocurrency market bounced back to the red, with the majority of assets listed on Coin360 having lost their value."

  • “Bitcoin (BTC) has dropped to as low as $8,607 during the day. By press time it has recovered slightly, trading at around $9,224 with a 2.43% loss of value over the past 24 hours.”

Crypto Phil's Take:

The volatility of the markets continues to be crazy. That being said I do think we're going to experience higher highs and lows overall over the next few months. I expect to see over $12,000 Bitcoin in the near future.

3. First Results of Sierra Leone's Blockchain Vote Are In

Key Highlights:

  • "Blockchain startup Agora has published what appears to be the earliest results for the hotly contested Sierra Leone election, the first presidential vote tracked using the technology."

  • "After the voting concluded on Wednesday, as many as 400,000 ballots were manually inputted into Agora's blockchain system by a team of 280 accredited observers working in as many locations."

Crypto Phil's Take:

This is an exciting use of blockchain technology. It shows a powerful real world use case for blockchain technology. And of course, this is good for cryptocurrencies because they are built on top of this technology.

4. Google Searches For ‘Bitcoin’ Slump In Synchronicity With Bitcoin’s Price

Source: https://cointelegraph.com/news/google-searches-for-bitcoin-slump-in-synchronicity-with-bitcoins-price

Key Highlights:

  • "After the February’s crypto market slump that brought Bitcoin (BTC) below $7000, the number of Google searches for “Bitcoin” has dropped to the lowest levels since October of last year."

  • "Google Trends shows that searches for “Bitcoin” were the most popular between December 17-23, coinciding with Bitcoin’s price rising to above $20,000 for the first time on December 17, 2017."

Crypto Phil's Take:

This definitely makes sense and I don't think we're going to see a rise in searches for Bitcoin until the price starts climbing back towards previous all time highs.
