"Lately, I've been watching with kinda ball's ache a few trends happening here on steemit"

These issues have to do with the extremely low incidence of votes, comments and whatnots that are being obtained by the immense and ever growing majority of publications which appear daily under the NEW TAB on steemit homepage. Especially during the weekends.

I admit that the vast majority of those articles come from novices which have just been registered on the platform and that it will still take some time and effort for us to discover their existence in steemit. But this also makes me wonder aloud about the following:

¿Is this that no one here, (especially the old steemians) lately do not even bother to give a click on the New Tab to check what's going on over there and what's good to reward on what's lay in there, anymore?

Oh Yeah!, of course I'm sure and I know exactly what I'm talking about. ¡Just click on that new tab and confirm it for yourself!
Over there you will notice that even scrolling way down until you get to articles that have been posted hours ago, none of them has managed to obtain the necessary number of votes to gather at least $1.00 dollar. And most of them without a single comment yet.

¿Where are they, where have they gone or what are they doing these last days?

It occurs to me and I have the disturbing suspicion that those with high reputation (score above 55 and up) already with a good amount of followers and followed, they are only interested in reading (if by chance), their own feed exclusively and ignoring the rest. What I confess must already be an arduous task to catch up depending on the number of people they are already following. Okay, that's natural and understandable.

But...

And this is a big but. ¿Where did their curiosity go? ¿To where went their willingness to actively supervise and make sure the community is growing steadily and healthy? ¿Where are currently the wealthy watchdogs of steemit's platform spreading some words of encouragement and also some tinkling nickels of appreciation and welcome to beginners, noobs and new users who patently are in communion with the idea to participate into the creation and consolidation of the solidary community of the future with their contribution of time, dedication, knowledge, inspiration, art, content and whatever?

¿Aren't they and haven't they already proved to be faithful believers of the philosophy that the steemit founders and we all mostly have sold to them when currently, at the moment, they even have to wait until weeks to get approved their admission on the platform?

¡Uhmm Yeah! Click That Damn New Tab Button more often YO! ¡That's All!

Otherwise you will never know what you are missing.

Meanwhile, I will await patiently to witness a favorable change soon over here, while at the same time extravagantly & exuberantly I'm going to smoke a cigarette in my seat thinking about other important stuff also.

For example...

Imagine waking one morning and..

• All banks suddenly closed (for weeks)
• All accounts suddenly frozen (for weeks/months)
• All credit cards, checks, debit cards being refused.
• All suppliers/shops demanding cash only.
• All employees demanding to be paid in cash.
• All ATM withdrawals being limited to ~100 $/€
• Needing to wait over 5 hours to use an ATM.

Oh Yeah! after all of the above, I suspect you now prolly need a good bite of my usual...
