The best way to make money is through hard work

Lately, whenever I get on the Steemit's "new" section I see more and more people publishing articles featuring all kind of ways to make money fast, without too much work and sometimes with just a little investment. We all know those kind of "offers", websites that ask you to invest only $150 so you can get trillions of dollars without doing anything.

I will just assume that most of us know those websites are scams, and are promoted by either stupid people who believe in them or people who just want you to invest some money into those places in order for them to maybe get something in return for stealing from you.

It's kinda hard for me to understand how some people could fall for those scams and how some are willing to invest thousands of dollars into a website that promises to double your money without you even doing anything. Either those people are extremely stupid, or just really desperate.

I always get surprised by how laziness and stupidity can make a man do all kind of stupid things, and I never managed to understand why you would risk losing money just because you're too lazy to work a little harder.

Out of all the things I did in the past years I got to the conclusion that the best way to make a lot of money isn't by trying to invest into a website you know nothing about, but by spending a lot of time creating content and developing products, working really hard to give something to the community, something valuable that can help people achieve some of their goals.

Even Steemit seemed like a scam when I first heard about it. It was strange to think about a website where you can get paid for creating content. However, I understood how everything worked and that in order for you to make money you need to spend a lot of time creating high quality content that people will enjoy. It's not a way to get money fast, it's a way of working really hard to get something in return.

And that's the kind of mentality more and more people should have. We would all love to get millions of dollars without doing anything, to be able to live without worrying about tomorrow and to follow our dreams without thinking about food, bills and all kind of debts.

Sadly, that's not possible. Without investing time into something and without working to create a product that can be used or consumed by people, you have little chance of getting anything. You need to provide something in order to get the rewards you want. It can be a product, it can be content, or a service people can use. No matter what it is, you need to put in the work, otherwise, you won't get anything.

The perfect example for not getting anything without working enough are all the people on Steemit who post articles that maybe contain an image and some text, expecting to get lucky and make around $1000 with those posts. We see them all the time on the "New" section of Steemit, and most of them barely make $0.05 on each post.

That's the only evidence you need to the fact that you can't make a lot of money without working a lot. If you want more examples you can go to websites like Graphic River or Creative Market and see who are the people who get more money, those who work for days on interesting projects or those who spend 5 minutes creating a low quality package that no one can actually use.

It's not a "rule" I invented, it's a "rule" society had from its beginnings. In order for you to get money or whatever rewards you desire, you need to find a way to provide something for as many people as possible. It's ironic how you need to give in order to receive, but it's how it works, and it's your best bet to make a lot of money.

I'm not saying that you need to work every single day, for the rest of your life, or that you can never take a break. I'm saying that in order for you to get the life you want you need to work really hard, at least for a certain period of time.

You can spend the next two years creating a great product that people can use. You may have to work 16 hours every single day developing that product, but once it's done, all you have to do is spend little time every single day finding ways of improving that product, and that way you can live the rest of your life barely working.

If that's not what you desire, another way of doing it would be spending a lot of time building a portfolio, a website containing all kind of items people can buy, that will be available all the time, as long as you're alive. You can create design packages, books, small applications, websites, photos, etc. You upload them on your website, you put a price and you wait for people to buy. If you can work hard enough and upload more than 1000 - 2000 items on that page, you may be able to live without working again.

Most people out there that have a lot of money worked really hard before getting where they are right now. Some of them were lucky enough to inherit something or to sell a certain item for a crazy amount of money, but those are only exceptions. If you look at those who have enough money to never run out no matter how much they spend, you'll see that before getting there they spent crazy amounts of time working and creating something for the community.

Getting rich without working too hard it's a dream we all have. I would personally love to be in that position. However, I realized that's not possible, and that in order for me to get to where I want, I need to invest a lot of time into my passion and create as many things as I can. I may get lucky at some point in my life, but I'd rather work as much as I can for a result I want, than to wait all my life in poverty to get some luck.
