Is there anything wrong with the long term goal of Steemit being an online blog center with the most upvoted blogs being pushed to the forefront?

also new to steem and I have not read the Steemit whitepaper.

Downvoting a post can decrease pending rewards and make it less visible. Common reasons:

  • Disagreement on rewards
  • Fraud or plagiarism
  • Hate speech or trolling
  • Miscategorized content or spam
