The Main Reason I'm Staying on Steemit

This article is to follow the May 30 Days Writing Challenge hosted by @dragosruoa which today is the sixth day. Information about this challenge can be seen here. The topic for today is:

What is Your Main Reason for Staying on Steemit?

I was interested in Steemit because previously I was active in social media like Facebook, Instagram and Pinterest. Facebook in my opinion is extraordinary because it has reunited people we've ever known and expand the friends network. But facebook is no longer fun because of the many hoaxes, hate speeches and recent excitement about privacy violations that encourage users to leave facebook and even delete it.

Steemit comes up with a better concept of combining blog and social media and uniquely you get paid. This added value is precisely the main attraction people turn to Steemit, including me. But after joining, is the reward that makes its users stay?. Some may be, yes, but to me, that's not the main thing.

The Main Thing is Community

Steemit in my opinion is like the restaurant with a variety of menus available in categories grouped by tags, just choose which we like and enjoy. Or for those who like to read, Steemit is like a great library that provides various titles of books in various categories as well, please select and enjoy.

The division of authors and their writings in these categories constitutes communities where members interact and form strong bonds with a common goal of sharing, helping each other to grow and develop together.

I joined and was active in the community of Nanggroe Steemit Community (NSC) a steemit community that aims to help each other especially steemians from Aceh Indonesia and steemians from other regions who want to join. Here I find great new friends with great vision.

At first it was a reward that invited but the community is the reason I stay, exactly as it says on the opening page of Steemit Come for The Reward, Stay for The Community. I've written about this, here.
