BUILD FROM WITHIN

Not long ago, I stumbled on a very captivating material on the World Wide Web. It was simply a story about the most-credentialed being on present-day earth. Michael Nicholson, a 73 year old a man from Michigan, has one bachelor’s degree, two associate’s degrees, 22 master’s degrees, three specialist degrees and one doctorate degree. This irrefutably makes him the world’s most academically decorated.

The septuagenarian revealed that he simply had a knack for learning. His passion had always been to get schooled again and again. One can then conclude that Michael obviously has the most successful career life in the world, by virtue of the degrees he’s accumulated. Surprisingly, the odds do get broken. He isn’t the most successful man in his field of work. We all can’t be scholars. Some people do not necessarily become successful based on the pool of degrees they have. Rather, they churn success out of their innate abilities.

This brings Juliana Agnes Coleman to mind. A childhood bestie who will tell you that, “I’m in Ghana to fulfill my dreams". You certainly will wonder why a master’s degree holder from a renowned historical university in the US, and with good job, will decide to relocate to Ghana to chase thread and needles. For a minute, I only said to myself, “We really need to switch places.” Who on earth will sacrifice modern-day America for a dumsor-ridden life in Ghana? This young lady obviously knows what she’s up to. All the same, she’s really big on fashion, but hasn’t got any formal training on how to even fix a button, yet she sews what Beyonce can wear. Yes, you may need the degrees to make an impact on the job you do, but most importantly, don’t overlook the things you can effortlessly do.
