Unsung Hero: My Pick For Steemian Of The Day- @ausbitbank

If I live to be 100 (not that far off), I'll never figure out how to operate all of the stuff on Steemit... it amazes me everyday how versatile the platform is. My friend @healthiswealth has started Steemian of the Day and the first winner was @papa-pepper- and believe me he deserves all the accolades he receives for his contributions to the platform and it's many inhabitants. Well Done Sir. During my financial crisis last week, I survived largely because of @papa-peppers kindness. I've already written about that as have others. But there was someone else deserving of recognition as well and that's who I want to write about today.

When the crisis hit, I was convinced that if I could get my post payouts up via some upvotes and resteems, I might be able to write my way out of trouble. I did a blog about it, specifying that I didn't want charity- I wasn't begging for money, just upvotes and resteems to get my numbers up. Within half an hour @ausbitbank had put Steem into my wallet and I believe was responsible, at least in part, for my numbers going up. So to him, I say thank you very, very much. But my cause wasn't the only one in which @ausbitbank came to the rescue...

@ausbitbank recently donated 3000 SP for the Minnowsupport program and another $3066 (USD) in support of SteemFest. It's important to recognize the visible faces of Steemit such as @papa-pepper... they are a huge part of what makes the platform run and they are invaluable in making it attractive to prospective Steemians. Similarly, it is equally important to recognize Steemians who more or less work behind the scenes; ones that may not enjoy the fanfare, or capture the limelight. Like I said, I have no idea of how much of these things on Steemit run... I don't know if you vote for Steemian of the Day, or if they are just selected. Either way... @ausbitbank has my vote!
