nice post

I agree that Steemit is a way to change the world through intentionality and policing content that is sub-par... to me it looks like a junior high school newsfeed than something that is being used to say meaningful, well-thought of content. I am sincerely hoping that in this beta-stage, a lot of the fodder can be weeded out through downvoting the articles that are terrible by those with lots of Steempower and upvoting the articles written with intention. I am new to this world (my first 24 hours) and it is disappointing how much is written that does not even say anything worthy of consuming, in my humble opinion. You took the words right out of my mouth in your article- thank you!

Your welcome. And agreed.

Great points made here. I do see a lot of folks with very shabby postings, expecting to get paid quick. The key is to be passionate about your posts and you will find people who appreciate the content, thus rewarding you for it.

I'll take extra success sauce on mine haha

Great post Rok!

Oh, I'm happy I clicked on that #philosophy tag today!

I was having similar thoughts recently - Steemit is a mirror of our society right now - the good, the bad and the ugly. But we have chance to co-create a "capsule society" here, that could be an example for the world out there.

If everyone here would identify with the word "investor" maybe they would indeed consider their intention more, before they post something. Many people come here in a "drive-by collector" sort of way, but hey, I'm not judging them - Steemit is so revolutionary that it can indeed sound like free money at first. But those who stay long enough, and generally have good intentions - not only here, but also for their own life and the world at large - they might more and more see themselves as investors and start posting intentionally, no matter the rewards.

I certainly have experimented on Steemit to "see what works". But intention trumps strategy, I find. So now I blog because I blog anyway. Instead of posting on my own blog, I blog here. I post things that have no 7-day expiry date - I want to be able to stand behind what I post also in 7 years.

Thanks for the food for thought today, @rok-sivante!

your welcome. and amen!

Very inspirational

Couldn't agree more. I have been witnessing proofs and fruits of this principle my whole life. Intentionality FTW!

Great post finalizing with a great image!!

social interactions be they online or ofline are in my humble opinion dictated by choice, the internet like life is full of choice and yes we have to wade through alot of $#it in both :)
But without the shallow how can we appreciate the deep, and i personaly like to swim in the shallow and swim in the deep at times.
All content has a place, just some content deserves to be rewarded for added value to our lives, steem power is back use it wisely
great post freind++

I agree. But the negative there is always negative and positive to balance our ecosystem we should not separate them from one another. Its fall to to discrimination if we did. For a healthy steemit society, let them play their rule.

Steemit is so sad. For example, you have 128 votes, but just 54 views and only 11 comments (6 of them just generic shit) so we take the time to speak to the world, say all we want to say, get paid, but not being listened.
I wrote a post about people who can write but doesn't read, I said i was talking about just identifying words (like a post where you sell something and put the price and people ask for the price ignoring the words written) and not the comprehession process and all the comments were "omg yass people does not analize texts anymore". Thats sad about creating content for steemit.

wowwww que post tan intrigante me gusto! @rok-sivante vote please!

I can't tell you the number of times that I've written two-three paragraphs on a blog idea and just deleted it. Once I have an idea of what to write and no inspiration to write, I think, why would someone else bother reading it.

If I don't make myself at least smile, know that I've informed others or helped a cause gain exposure, I know it's not worth posting.

Love the term Intentionality!

Secrets are very important. Keep them just for you

What drives my intention is my unique perspective in the sea of sameness. For example, some of my posts may not be particularly inspiring, others may be outright silly in content and their brevity, and yet personal experience tells me that not one person in this world occupies the exact same vantage point that I do. This very assumption of mine led me to complete the first draft of my out-of-the-box fantasy trilogy, which I’m sure many a conditioned sheep will find outrageous once it’s out there.

a must read for every minnow..following

Excellent post. Really benefited from it. Every time I post now, I will ask myself, "What impact will your post have? Will it encourage and have a positive effect? From my experience, the upvotes are great , but I love it when the comments expressed things like they were encouraged, motivated, or felt moved by your post. This is the "fuel" I operate from. When you feel like what your doing is positive and is of influence to others. That you made somebody feel good thru your post. So to all , be an "impact writer" and help grow Steemit to be high quality, productive site. Again, great post. Will continue to follow.

:-)

Just love these kind of posts.

Very inspirational. :D

Hey can you help me quickly ! A man give my real identity https://steemit.com/suisse/@monkrypto/on-me-downvote-sans-raison-2017730t829020z

so dreamy! I love it. resteemed :)

This is the perfect post for me to have stumbled across within my first sixty minutes on Steemit. Thank you so much for your clarity, wisdom and coaching. My biggest reason for being here is the unbelievable healing, creative and (r)evolutionary potential inherent in one of the world's first blockchain social media platforms. I am stoked to have the opportunity to write, engage in growth producing dialogue and broaden the conversations that help us access our deeper human potential. But man it feels challenging navigating all of the posts! Like you said, there is a lot of great stuff here, and a lot of stuff jamming up the mind and depressing the spirit. Anyway, thank you for being on here and offering such sage advice for a newbie.

cool. glad to hear it.

T'is a great curation of some of my best posts for newbies - am sure there'll be alot of other helpful content for you in those. :-)

Wonderful! Thank you. Perhaps you would consider following me. I have a feeling that you will like some of what I feel called to contribute. You can ignore the gardening tips and paleo recipes if you want, but I'm sure the rest will be right up your alley. Thanks again.

I haven't posted anything on steemit as of yet. Yet, I'll keep this post in mind when I do make the first few post. I'll also won't be one of those people that strays away from reading. The post will be helpful to me in the future. So that's a resteem ;)

I try to build engagement, build community, help new people various ways with votes and advice when they are new, and bring laughs and information to people.

Ironically our posts are right in the feed near each other as I said similar things in my post.

I have realized Intentional posting does not need to be long, and does not always fit in a neat box, too.

Should I end this with the often seen

nice post

LOL!

Have a nice nite (or day) where you are.

I find there's very little or no interaction here on steemit which means I have little motivation to keep posting other than it's somewhere to post...
