Best Search Engine Optimization (SEO) Strategies for 2017: Get Steemit Readers and Followers Automatically with Google Organic Search Traffic!

Jerry, you are the one who convinces me to start writing on Steemit, and guess what? You are the 1st and the only person (for the moment) that I follow here :) So I have a question for you:

As soon as I read this article, I bought a new domain name, installed a fresh WordPress, created Facebook Page, Twitter, Instagram, Pinterest, Tumblr and YouTube accounts. And of course, I'm planning to write here in Steemit aswell.

I don't want to write the domain name here 'cuz I don't want you or anyone else to consider this comment as a spam. But just to give you a clue; my domain name is a 2 words dot com name; like: 'creepy things dot com'. My content will be about 'interesting information' stuff. So here is my question:

How may I avoid duplicate content issue posting same articles both on Steemit and my WordPress site? Should I summarize it or re-write it? If I write a summary of the article, the original and the summary article where they should be posted? My intention is to get some traffic and monetize the content with Google AdSense. So...

Speak, friend!

=)

You can avoid duplicate content issues by adding a Rel="canonical" tag to your website pages. There are many blogs written about this. Also, you can add the Rel=”author” tag to establish that you wrote the content on both sites. Your best bet is to search for more instructions on how to install these tags as it is in the code base. Most likely Steemit will outrank your website because it is highly visited and has high trust.
