I Still Don't Really Understand the Use Bid Bots Tbh

What's the point of paying $100 to receive that $100 backs as upvotes on Steemit? There's no new money made, no profit made. No one looks at Trending anymore, so you're not even getting noticed.

What actually is the benefit of using a bid bot?

Moreover, people using bid bots means people will keep running bid bots. And as long as people run bid bots, the reward pool will remain a dry desert.

So what gives?

Authors get paid when people like you upvote their post.

If you can make it high in the trending tab people might actually see your post.
And the more people that see it, the more people that vote on it.

Further, voting bots look for people that have good payouts to get that sweet curation. So, high paying posts, attract these voters.

So, if you really get $100 for $100, then one should do it all the time.

Of course the better way is to develop a group of actual readers who add you to their vote bots. Then you get the $100 without paying the $100.

In a modern advertising system, you have a cost to advertise. The reality is that the delegates should be making more money. One way to do this is to give more to the delegator and not guarentee any payout to the author. Of course no author would use it unless one could draw all the delegators away from current bots. By that Same account, I don't think there is any way to do this due to the coding of how votes are paid out. Maybe its something that can side chained?

People are dumbasses.
