Good day Steemian and welcome to today's Steem price update for 23/3/2023.
I have been posting the Steem price update since almost the very beginning of Steemit.com back in 2016 along with other content.
Many have came here to discuss the daily Steem price's and recent STEEM changes for over 6 years.

If you tire of addictively looking at the charts every few minutes then instead just relax and look here for the average STEEM price for your daily plan or strategy.
And even if you are not planning to do anything with your STEEM I still recommend checking out these updates every so often.
So without further ado lets take a look at today's Daily Steem Price for 23/3/2023.

March 2023 There is much talk of the government bringing out it's own digital currency, this is something many had predicted years ago in 2025 they are going to try and put it forward with a release expected in 2030, but it wouldn't surprise me if this happens even sooner. Also it was announced that they are blocking many people from being able to buy crypto via their banks, yes this was done sometime ago but there were still places that wouldn't block these transactions, however this as now been greatly enforced. There seems to be a lot of movement from authorities which seems to prevent many from being able to take part in crypto. Looks like Binance is being another target for them the reasoning is because crypto is.. well "volatile" that is the excuse.. As for Steem we previously had a big fall that took it down to $0.14 and with such a fall this helped us with collecting more Steem for our main goal this year. In 2023 what we are aiming for is to finally reach Orca or in other words this means holding a total of 50k Steem Power. Steem took a big fall ever since the bitcoin downwave from 60k this sadly also took down the value of SBD's, however it had done a good job of holding around that important $3 mark for many months. My hope is now SBD's can once again secure this value for when Steem does eventually go back up again and so far it's looking healthy to be doing just that. Steem and the general market had often been predicted to fall near the beginning of March and it looks like we got some of that, but what's with this 2nd bounce back, well it could be market manipulation as many claim but it sure is holding well. However what isn't going at a good rate is our average electrical usage charge. These greedy energy companies just don't stop milking people and this cuts into investment, many things have gone up in price. The new year didn't bring much better with the weather being colder and the cost of living spiralling upwards hitting hard. Many are left wondering when will it all get better? The bad news is most likely it won't, it never as before. To prove a point we are once again being told in April the electric costs are going up once again which is seriously ridiculous. But no wait the government says it's going to save us all because they are going to extent their "energy support scheme" by paying off some of these costs for those who can't pay. I think they forget the money they are using to "cover these costs" is actually our money, tax payers money. Regardless they claim the cost of energy will go down by the time the scheme ends. The reasoning claimed for all these high prices is the war in Ukraine, but honestly if that's the case we must be literally getting almost every single thing from 2 very specific countries. The on-going war is a terrible moment in our history as Vladimir's army doesn't stall at the boarder, they instead attack, strike up fear, call treats and cast sadness into the lives of many. A war that if we are not too careful could just be what spells the beginning of the end. Best keep an eye on those politicians and refuse war at all costs, as continued provocation is on-going "we do NOT want WW3" but perhaps to stop that it may be already much too late.

I didn't expect this year on being much better, people just seem to be getting worse, losing themselves more and more doing horrendous things to each other, those in control up top are no better and also responsible for much of the hardship happening. Last night I went to sleep at the usual late hour, a bit disappointing as lately I have been getting more sleep but still it could be worse. When I initially woke up this morning I thought perhaps I had overslept this is because there was bright sunshine and so expected it to be much later. When I reached over to look at the time I still had another 5 minutes before my alarm. This is now the 2nd time I woke up before the alarm, better weather must indeed be on it's way. Still it was a big relive because I had to get in to work this early morning and thought I was already very late. There was not much time in the morning but enough to get some breakfast and get ready to leave. Even between that time I could tell it was windy outside and the clouds were coming in fast, since I will be at work for most of today I won't really get to see if I miss out on a nice day or not. On the way to work it seemed like it was going to be a decent day so I was annoyed about having to miss it. When I got into work I was doing the usual but before I could get on with it one of the superiors was strongly hinting that they wanted me to get on with also some other tasks. I know for sure I spent most of the day doing all these tasks for her, while this would normally annoy me she wasn't rushing me so it was alright. It was only more towards the end where she stopped giving me anything else to get done. Heard some staff discussing how they felt they just aren't earning enough to live on and I know exactly how they feel. When I left work soon as I stepped outside it started raining, that annoyed me but what I found more worrying were these 2 homeless looking guys nearby with a shopping trolley watching me carefully. Kept my distance from them and made my way home, I expected the rain to get worse but it didn't until later when I was already indoors. It was only when I got in that I had time to get some chores done and log on Steemit. I decided not to wear the extra layer but worried later I would get cold guess I was convinced it was going to stay a nice day but still at not point did I feel I needed the extra layer. One of my colleagues wanted me to cover a shift for her, I agreed to do it, didn't even get a thank you from her, another colleague pointed out to me that she didn't even say "hello" to me before asking lol. I honestly didn't even notice that nor did it bother me, but I guess a "thank you" would of been nice. But that's people for you these days, they seem to think the world revolves around them and if you can be used they will take what they can from you. It was only the following day that I realised this is a really long shift that she wants me to cover, but i's ok I'm doing it for the extra money. Leaving work the other day one of the superiors asked me if I had completed one of the companies stupid survey things, I said yes and she just left me alone. Now I did actually do this survey but it does make me wonder if I just say yes without doing it next time will they just leave me alone lol.

As for Steemit there were seven curation teams so 49 community curators which means 4 million SP in total used for upvoting content however in April the Team wants to try something different. They are going to be experimenting with smaller teams, around 4 or 5 people per team. This means there will be less room for curators and the competition to apply for entry will be tougher, but to make up for this it's said that rewards will be greater. What didn't surprise me is that most Community Curators seem to not look beyond their own communities when it comes to casting votes or selecting their "Posts of the Week" entry which is why I think another team should be doing this specifically. Regardless the Team mentioned that this will became more important when picking curators going forward which I think is a good thing. As for TRX there was also a drop in price, there were also a few months where TRX rewards were not being received! However most of the missing TRX rewards have now been sent to users, we are now receiving all current earned TRX rewards, it's less consistent as it can take 2 or 3 days sometimes even longer to get rewards appearing in your wallet.
