Despite it's success, what's the main thing holding Steem/Steemit back?

I think the monetization structure is too complicated. Steem Dollars, Power, Steem, power down (with spread across several weeks), is just confusing.

Downvoting a post can decrease pending rewards and make it less visible. Common reasons:
