It's probably voting bots interfacing through the API. You can send SBD to them and they usually upvote your account quickly.

you likely need to send them SBD first as a sign of good faith. It's a two way process. Alternatively, if you get popular you might just get a lot of upvotes because of who you are.

Bots, curation trails, etc., maybe not even for purchase. Curie, OCD, and the like involve folks following curators who select content to be upvoted by everyone who follows their lead.

While your bud might make good content, this is exactly why I believe that bots must no longer vote on Steemit.

This is a social media platform, and most votes on the platform are now cast by bots.

This is one of the reasons that user retention on the platform is about 10% YOY. Such a dismal retention rate will swiftly kill the platform once the supply of fresh users is worn out.

i say no bots, no alts and no premined steem. they should all be removed but how do you make sure that an account isnt a sock puppet account? also the whales that are now making millions a month because they premined the system before all mining was shut down and steemit was opened to the public have no intention of changing the tools that are used to rig the system. they have stated publicly that they system is working perfectly with what they wanted. they have no intention of fixing the flag issue or the bad actor whales that kill accounts over subjective reasons. its what they want. read dans early posts about how if you dont do what he wants when he wants you should be ostrizized from scociety and how he thinks public "shuning" and constant negitive reinforcement by way of finanical removal is how the world becomes his utopia where "everyone thinks just how he does so he can do everything and anything he wants without conquences".
His new posts are starting to go back to publicly saying the stuff he use to. its hell imo.
Its all social conditioning theory. he thinks that the way the system is set up once it takes over the world he and the other couple whales can then go around and remove the people that are guilty of thought crime and it will actually starve them out of scociety cause if anyone on the blockchain deals with them they will also become a target.
its scary tbh, imo
hell i have even had whales tell my upvoters if they continue to upvote me they will make sure they enever earn a cent on this platform like they did to me.

So, basically I agree with everything you just said - except I don't have a problem with alts. I vehemently disagree with @dan regarding the practices you mention, and the last post of his I read, which was about verifiable identity.

I need to be anonymous, for safety. I have been credibly threatened by folks ranging from private parties to regional administrators, and have manage to preserve the safety of my kids by only speaking or acting anonymously.

I ain't so worried about me.

I don't expect the mined stakes to be properly relegated to the roles that initial supply of a currency should be, in a just system. @dan apparently had no interest in, or understanding of, justice, and the group that joined in the flashmine seems unconcerned with it.

Those stakes should have only been purposed to create new accounts through delegation, rather than be abused to control discourse and economic participation as they presently are.

About that, you are damn right!

I expect Steemit to eventually fail because of the problems herein discussed, although Steem might be just fine. I was hoping Calibrae would be online by now, but it seems @l0k1 failed to follow through. Sooner or later a platform which does do what Steemit should have will be created.

I wasent aware you were one of the people that the whales threatened, that sux and sorry for that.
After checking out yours.org and having a bunch of accounts killed by the creator for saying you can be banning accounts and claiming its free speech i honstly dont think a new platform will be any differnt. power corrupts, the people here on steemit that got flagged to shit and moved over to yours.org were just as happy as the whales on this site when my accounts were killed and they even bragged about it and made posts about how great it is to remove bad actors from the site. smfh
Unfornatly everyone has this utopia idea they want to push not realizing that their utopia includes removal of anything and anyone that they disagree with for any reason.
Its to the point where im wondering if im the weirdo here cause i dont want some sanatized version of the web, i want the real deal with all the nastyness that comes with the wold, i want discourse and scam posts to sift through. i want political arguments and hate posts, i want it all and the idea that i can only see what some SJW whale approves of makes me mad.
Especially when the whales produce almost no quality and only make/have their steem power from premining and charging people to be able to keep their upvotes. Your post is making over 10 bucks, well thats to much money and we have to flag it, oh you paid for an upvote on your post with a single picture and no text at all, 30 dollar pay out cause you payed a cut to the mafia and when payout comes the mafia gets another 25% of your pay out.

I completely agree. I have no interest in censored speech.

If I wanted to hear that, I'd be on Fakebook.

The last thing I ever recall posting on Twatter was that I support hate speech, because it's the only speech that needs protection. If we don't protect speech we disagree with, we really have no interested in free speech.

Nothing is a secret on the blockchain. If you click on the down arrow next to the votes, it'll show you who voted and the order they are displayed is from highest vote amount to lowest. Bot accounts will usually have upvote instructions on their user profile at the top. That person you screen shot either has a very powerful follower upvoting him or he's paying for bot votes. 😁

If you've got a little money to invest you can always rent some sp for yourself and that goes a long way towards making the right friends and getting noticed. The vote bots can be profitable, but unpredictable. I've heard of people losing money on them. 😮

all the whales know me, if all that matters is who you are frends with then thats kinda crappy.
Im not saying it isnt true just that its crappy.
The whales have tried to run me off the site a bunch of times, just trying to understand how they consider 6 views including me and the poster (so 4 views) is worth 78 bucks while something that makes 15 bucks with 300 views gets flagged into 0 pay out because it hurt a whales weak feelings.

Honstly i already know the answer, was just trying to see if the biggest whales on this site that do follow me (all of them) would speak up in public or keep playing silent and ignorant of the issues like they have from the begining.

The number of votes is really weird compared to the number of views. They are most likely bots ( the votes ) even though it doesn't have to mean that many bots is the reason why he/she made 70$ on the post. Maybe he/she had someone that isn't a bot and has huge steem power ( maybe himself/herself) and that made him/her money.

Yeah but mining has been closed the day steemit became open to the public so we cant mine coins like the whales did, think 100million steempower in like 2 days of running your computer, no content making or having people view and like your art, just pure power because you were friends with the creators and aloud to mine even, yes they stopped people from mining even. Now the whales that have no posting skills or even people skills get to run around and pick who is worth of a pay out and who isnt no matter the amount of traffic the poster brings. The whales now make money off of charging people for upvotes that the whales didnt even make the steempower posting, they got it premining the system before the public had access.

Wow drunk rant, my bad. LOL might be time to take a nap or drink and smoke more. not sure yet.

I don't know if I should call that a perk for being into the project "Steem" since the beginning. We can still invest anytime in Steem Power and we could get somewhere with that.We should know that Steem Power can be expensive since Steem price is increasing ( good for us I guess )

I have had my ordeals with them, im not one to just agree with someone in the wrong because they have money so...... yeah.
TBH i am awarded, im making more then ever expected from steemit. with that said though, i have the views and replys/comments to support my earnings. Im more just wondering how to make 600 bucks a post with 4 views daily for months. I want in on the action.

But in no way am i ungrateful of the 1-8 bucks a post i make. Honstly i couldnt say thankyou enough for it all.
