FWIW the next hardfork coalesces the 24h payout and the 30d payout into a single, 7 day payout window. After 7 days, posts will become ineligible for further rewards.

    Maybe there could be some sort of "like flow" calculated which reopens another pay window? If they get a new surge in likes I mean.

      This is a great idea, and will be incorporated into our brainstorming about it. I would really love to see long tail content get rewarded beyond the 7 day window.
