So i had this rock since around 2004 if i can remember correctly...I took it from my dads office as a kid,he said it was a meteorite which they came across while they where drilling to make way for a road or dam ,I have only a small piece there where only 3 specimens, i have one and the others scientists took it and the rest of the huge meteor was blown up...to be able to continue with the building of whatever...
Now the question is ,Is it valuable meteorite? and what the meteorite is it? I tried looking online to identify it but theres so many different types..
I was wondering if steem users can help me?...

At first glance, I do not think this is a meteorite. I think it is a terrestrial concretion of some sort, possibly hematite. But, it could also be a very weathered and sandblasted chondrite. Cut off a small piece and post a photo of the inside.
