Happy 2018 Everyone !! 🍾 🥂 Cheers to a Fantastic Year Ahead!! Sound Legion Shout Outs!! The Steem Journey so far.

Well everyone we are here at the beginning of a brand new year.   2017 was full of enlightenment and discovery.   There is information flying at us all faster than we can keep up and this brand new year has high hopes as we explore deeper into new ideas and new technology.    Cryptocurrency and Blockchain are going to amplify the great changes that have been happening on our planet since the birth of the internet by a significant degree.    A global decentralized digital currency is peaking through the horizon and starting to set itself in the sky.    

The Bitcoin idea sparked interest in me somewhere in 2011-2013 after hearing it being talked about on Free Talk Live, a freedom talk radio show that I would have quite frequently on in the background while working.     I was in the process of trying to establish myself as a full time singer songwriter and began to attach a bitcoin wallet address to my music sites.     The excitement of bitcoin and its price increases came and went in short bursts with my attention.   It wasn't untill the beginning of 2016 when introduced to steemit by a friend @apolymask that I started to take another exciting peak inside the happenings.   I created a steem account but was so busy with other projects I didnt quite have time to figure out what was happening.    A few months went by and my friend @apolymask was continuing to hammer in promotions for steemit in some pretty compelling posting on facebook and I decided to give it another go.     This time I dug in.  What is Steemit?  How does it relate to Bitcoin?  What the hell is an alt coin? What is SBD? Steem Power? What to post?  Questions Questions.    I decide to pull my current project Sound Legion Records a Collaborative Artist Music House over to steemit,  with a slew of my fellow artists and producers and start sharing the music and getting steemians involved in our collaborative music.   Sound Legion and steemit both in forming stages came together beautifully.

My mission with Sound Legion has always been to bring all the different collaborations I had been working on in various genres together in one place and expand it out for further collaborations between myself and other artists I have been working with and fresh new musical finds.    Sound Legion promotes artists, promotes collaborations and promotes good original tracks.    I created Sound Legion in collaboration with my head producer @qrittix Sven Qrittix Driesen and Uk rapper Lyricist Clyde Majik Legion 

I have been working as a Singer Songwriter since the end of 2008 so by the end of this year I will have been pushing myself down this musical path for 10 whole years.       I have worked in that time with a massive load of Artists, Producers and Bands from all over the globe.   I have released hundreds of songs in single, EP and full album, in various genres of sounds from Electronic, EDM, Pop, Hip Hop Rap, Acoustic Folk, Contemp, Rock and more.    My music under the artist names Shavon Bonnie Legion aka Bonnie Legion has been featured in television programs, motions picture movies and documentaries,  online radio shows and podcasts, commercial radio and promotionals.   I have had several track releases in the popular EDM scene  with big labels like Armada Records with singles hitting top of beatport charts and also an appearance on billboard top 100 tommorowland.     

Since joining steemit I started several music contests to spur engagement and get involved in the community as I shared pieces of my original music collection and my journey along the way.   I then started joining OpenMic with an invite from @luzcypher and also created the Steemit Artist Music Compilation Volume series showcasing original talents in various genres of music in a downloadable steemit music mp3 collection, all hosted by my Sound Legion website.

After some success with OpenMic engagement and really jumping into the talent here on steemit I was invited by @luzcypher and @krystle to come join the openmic judging team.    This was just fantastic by me, and totally fit up my alley musical skills.   Judging open mic gives me an opportunity to listen and discover new talents engage with these talents and then also promote them, which is exactly I do.   

Open Mic is this communities heart in sound and it is beating louder and louder each week.   With near 200 entries this past week open mic is a hit here on Steemit there is no doubt it.

In closing here I want to share that DSound created by @prc where music can be uploaded similar to soundcloud and artists can earn by upvotes and also make track available for download has been a huge success for me here on steemit.   I am just now starting to incorperate material onto DTube and think artists out there reading should feel encouraged to get involved on the blockchain soundcloud and youtube that is DSound and Dtube. 

I also want to mention Musicoin.   Also being compared to sites like Soundcloud, but unlike DSound or DTube where you get paid for upvotes within a 7 day period, on Musicoin you get paid per play for life.   Its pretty awesome and I encourage you guys to check it out.   The coin has had some hot growth and movement on the exchange and artists are buzzing.

Thanks guys for checking out my post and reading a little about my journey and progress here so far.    The steemit platform has 100% changed my life, not only from the rewards and engagement but by the amount of information I have got out of steemit.   Because of steemit I have a much deeper understanding of bitcoin, cryptocurrency in general and also a clearer grasp on history and whats going on in the world around us.     I am so excited about this 2018 I cant sit still, ideas are flowing, communications and collaborations are flowing.   The music is alive here on steemit.com and the world is opening there eyes to a brighter day.
