My thought about Steemit

in steemit •  7 years ago

Good day!
I am on Steemit little more than a week. During this time I have seen a lot of profiles, posts, comments. And here are some thoughts I've visited. Me seems, that now Steemit is not such, what was before. I mean, it was created as a platform for exchanging information, making new acquaintances, communicating. Now I found a lot of posts, that Steemit is a business, everything is connected with money. There are unspoken rules, which people follow - not vote for their posts, not use bots. There are high-quality posts, that few people vote for. And Vice versa - the posts of users with good reputation, in which there is little text, but these posts still consistently come in the top list.

I'm not judging anyone. I think, that every user wins his audience here. If he makes a post with one photo and people like it - why not? Maybe someone does not like to read long posts. I'm not talking about a variety of topics, we all have different interests and hobby. Therefore, the question of qualitative context is very controversial. I think, you can't be liked by everyone. Steemit is a real team, in which are creating mini-groups. Some decide to earn money here, others are for "idea", for they a financial side is not so important. And I can bring a lot of such contradictions. I think, everyone has his way on Steemit. You have to do, what you think is right. But one rule works for everyone, if you want to succeed - work! Work every day, write interesting posts and everything will be! Of course, luck does not hurt) And no need to go down to the level of spam. If you want to write a comment - write a good comment and not the phrase "cool post" "thanks for the post" and so on. This is only my opinion, which I want to share with you!

Have a good weekend and thanks for reading!

Steemit is great in my opinion, even if some people take advantage of some of the features at least they make the effort in doing something than not doing anything at all....like being a couch potato lol

I agree with you! It's better than just lying on the couch)

It’s a nice platform....carry on.

Steemit is a social experiment and like every social experiment,it's going to take some time to really put it all together.

There is a lot of great content on steemit , the problem right now is the uncountable garbage posts that bury all the good posts. Not to mention plagiarism and theft. Just yesterday i found this account who stole my pictures as soon as they were posted. This persons whole account is basically stealing pics for their own blog. Its vile and should not be tolerated. My dream would be to live off my blogs but with people like this on steemit it makes it impossible. coexisting between money and good information is not the issue imo . https://steemit.com/abuse/@eclecticfruition/steemit-abuse have a look , and flag and report this guy as he could have stolen your stuff too and you have no idea.
Happy Saturday

It's really disgusting and low, so brazenly steal other people's posts and photos, good thing you noticed it! Thanks for sharing!

very good review. happy blogging on steemit

Agreed on everyone has their way on Steemit.

Think about it this way ..

  1. STEEM represents a commodity where the value is dictated by what the market believes its value is.

  2. Steemit is a "country" (platform) where they are a ~800k+ population at the moment.

  3. Since there's no centralized authority, the population here is a reflection of how society would behave if there is no government.

  4. Some would abuse it for good; some will exploit it, and so on ..

  5. It really boils down to us to form (in your words) teams to self-regulate this new economy to the right direction.

I like, that you compare Steemit with the country, it's interesting and accurate! Thanks for stopping by!

Yes, it's my own little way to make sense of things here haha.

Steemit is the first "country", and there are other "countries" like D.tube, D.sound, Dlive.io, etc

We are in a very exciting time!

Great Post

Its very insightful of you being here a week and figuring it out so fast. It is about money, at the end of the day. The platform is good but it's like any other social media platform, the cool people, here the ones with high upvotes are the lions. I guess it is just an example of life. People with money are always the ones that everybody wants to be friends with. You have to figure out where you fit it and make it work for you. Thanks

Thank you for comment)

Wow ! Thanks for sharing your thought and experience on steemit, one needed to know how to win people heart #audience, a kind of post that is acceptable and convincing enough, with powerful message. I really learn a lot from this post. Nice write up with good expression. Keep it up bro

Thank you for stopping by)

true...but Steemit is still the best out there :D

You are 100% right)

Great post topic. I agree with your comments. There is a lot of manipulation going on right now and people are doing whatever they can to either get paid or noticed so they can get paid. So many trying to take the easier or short route to this that it makes things really difficult for the ones who are putting the effort into writing. I do believe that many of the spammers will fall away, but here will be a price. Perhaps it will be the loss of some quality people or perhaps it will be a patfomr that only gets known as someplace to come for weak content and bots. Hard to tell at the moment but it is good to see that many people are dedicated to trying to make a positive difference. I believe in te end it will come down to the operating model. Can it in fact work on these issues before the issues put a virus into the system that the system cannot cope with? I hope the powers that be are paying attention because the future here might depend on it. Thanks

I think we'll all be watching the development of Steemit together!

Yes. For sure.

I've been using Steemit for about a month now and ive been seeing the exact same thing, its really frustrating and disheartning and i would say it puts off people who want to commit real content to the site and new content creators who want to get involved.

Great post

yeah you are right.... here everybody can post their opinion....
