How I Want My Eyes Opened

Not that am blind.
No.
My eyes see very well.
I percieve but pitch darkness.
It has no likeness.
Too dark to see.

Many have but darkness loved.
Light is not what they needed.
Because all they want to do is hidden.
Hidden from light and prying eyes.

I want to see.
To see corruption embedded in our countries.
To put them to light and tell them to quit.

I want to see all hidden things.
I want to highlight them.
To show the world all the wrongs done.
Not that they do not know but they hide.
Open my eyes to see.

Let me see.
I see all that have defiled our children.
Let me see.
Those who have raped our lands dry.
Those who fed on our sweat.
Let me see.

Yet I want to be blind too.
None will ever love me.
Yet it starts with me.
Let me be the change that I want in others.
So, I can see.
