There are so many new Steemit folks out there who have joined only this month! Welcome new Steemsters. 🙏🏽🤗

I'm glad you are here. Makes this place much more interesting. Today I have heard many of you express both excitement and eagerness, and also lament and regret. Mainly, "if only I had joined sooner! I'd be rich, powerful, famous...a whale!" (Fill in the blank for what ever you think is missing in your life.)

A few thoughts…

You don't know what you don't know until you know it. Don't beat yourself up because you didn't hear about this sooner! Just trust the timing of the universe, and flow with it.

Also, you guys are projecting what Steemit is like today onto the past. It was not like it is now at first! I joined in July 2016. Back then Steemit felt much more vacant. (hollow vacume sound) There were only a few women, some yoga people, some travel writers and lots of others who didn't really provide any content beyond creating an account and saying "hi, I'm here", and expecting loads of riches from that. Mainly, it was populated by a bunch of crypto geeks. ✌🏾

No offense… I love me some crypto geek. 🤓😋 Mmmmm! My Man is one, and He is THE reason I joined so early! But, back then it was hard to scroll through all of the crypto posts to find posts that interested ME. Things like human interest stories, psychology, yoga, philosophy. Etc.

Furthermore, a year ago very few posts made any money. Comments were scarce and there was very little dialogue on most posts, unless you were one of the really big fish.

I was here early! And yet due to how it was, described above ☝🏼, I got bored and took a break. I'm sorry, but it's true! Well, it wasn't just boredom...it was also other life events took my time and took priority. But anyways... I'm not way ahead of all the rest of you #junebugs just because I created an account here early, which conversely means that you are not far behind.

Bottom line - Life is always what you put into it. Don't kid yourself that if you had only joined a year ago that you would be worth millions of SP now. Maybe, but unlikely. It is never too late! Whatever you think you would've done back then...just do it now! Action pays off in results, no matter when you start.

Go do you.

Well, everything depends on how passioned you are..
If you do stop after a while, you will not succeed in anything you do..
Try and try and try.. one of my favourite quotes from Michael Jordan, undoubtly the greatest of all time in his sport:

Cannot agree more with these words.

Hello, great post. I am encouraged that you think more woman are joining. I am a woman and I hope more women will join too. I am also more interested in life topics than cryptocurrency stuff. I have a lot to learn there. Anyway, I hope I can find some awesome new friends here. I'm excited to see what kind of community exists here at steemit.

I love your post. It is bleeding with the truth. When you joined really does not matter, your level of impart does. I am also proud to have joined this month and my ultimate goal is to bring more people who will share their brilliant ideas with us and help the community griw bigger and better.

Well said. Welcome!

She said it -- JUST START and don't forget to DO YOU. (note taken!)

I just joined in June as well. I got a tip from a woman who used to write at Bubblews with me, who got a tip from some of her friends that this was turning into a great community. Looking around and reading posts, it seems like just about everyone posting these days joined in the last month or so!

I'm not much of a crypto-geek but I do love to write, so I've decided that's got to be my focus: writing the stuff I'd like to read and finding other people who do the same. I'm so pleased to say that I've met some great friends on here with similar interests already.

Yes that's me too. I can't advise anyone on crypto stuff, but I NEED to write...it's an outlet for me. So I like being here, finding community and having a place to share the stuff I'm gonna share anyways. Nice meeting you here.

Likewise, @steemed-open!

Wow! Beautiful. And the post was good too! haha
Where are those pictures taken? Florida?

Thank you. Cancun, Mexico.

Amen!!.. I'm always like '' damn if only I was there at the start''
but reality is, I probably would of just been lost in all the techy talk and ran a mile.

Nowadays I'm waking up thinking o0 now what if I just changed that dream into a steem

ahaha :O

I think people who are getting into steemit later (myself included) need to realize that if steemit is going to become what we hope it becomes, we're all here before 99% of the people who eventually will be. Work hard, it'll pay off!

Hello :) I just joined today, You did a good job on this page.

Hoooooora to the June peepz like me! Inspiring words

I'm a #junebug and I thank you for your encouragement! Lots of folks gonna be whales from joining in June 2017. You earned my upvote and follow. Keep stackin' that STEEM!

Welcome here! Followed you back and upvoted your hot wings post. I think you will do well here :)

Nice post @steemed-open. I've been here a year and definitely not a steemzillionaire. But then again, poetry is not for most people. But i still enjoy being here. Cheers!

Although its a possibility to get rich in the platform but still there are no assurance. If you become a bet why many whales, then theirs no question about that :) How was your day today madam?

True...no assurances. But that also applies to life in general! Just post content that interest you. Be honest and yourself. Connect with others here with authenticity. And then detach from outcomes. ✊🏽

Exactly. The lesser we expect things the lesser our failures will be.

Thank you for honesty ;) I don't regret I didn't join earlier, I'm happy that I found it at all ! <3

Nice advice. @steemed-open
