Steem Price Determining Rewards Pool?

Is it me or does the price of steem makes the rewards payouts pool shrink daily?

The price of steem on the steemit exchange is 1.74 per steem and all rewards are decreasing every moment the price rise!
Could anyone share details with a newbie on what's the case here?

I have read many post in regards to hard fork 19 and I have't yet found anything good about it. To me it seems like everything is all an illusion when its all said and done, everything balances out eventually. I mean if the rewards increase the price drops vice versa...someone comment something to me.. @steemitnow222 take care all!

Nope. Rewards are decreasing since there is not enough money in the reward pool to cover all revenues.
Increasing value of Steem actually helps to fill the reward pool. The point is that there are too many posts and comments and votes and not enough invested Steem Power.
It is expected that we reach the balance in upcoming weeks but nobody can tell when exactly.

Btw I noticed that you Power down. Wait with that for a month or you if it is not absolutely necessary for you. You will earn on that since the price grows for sure.
