Filtering the FeedsteemCreated with Sketch.

I follow over 250 people on Steemit, so my Feed page is pretty busy. Sometimes I just want to see the latest from those people on a certain topic. It would be really cool if the list of tags on the right could filter just my feed, e.g. so I can see all the new music posts. I did try editing the URL to add the tag, but that doesn't work.

I was thinking that we could group people into lists/groups/circles so we could see the feeds for each group, but that requires changes to how the follows are stored. The above is just a change to the web site. It requires people to use consistent tags, but maybe we can get other features that suggest tags for a post to improve consistency and make tags more useful.

Is this realistic?

That would really help. I am following 900 plus people!

Wow! Sounds like you need some tools to help you. I guess the eSteem app could also do this. In theory there could be custom filters if we were given some optional advanced options for those who know how to use them.

Yes would be great if we could have some built in tools because depending on the day I tend to be in the mood for different things:)

Not sure if realistic but it would be really helpful @steevc

I may even have a look at the code some time to work out how it could function. Just needs to scan my feed for tags and show a list of the top ones, then filter by that. It does similar things for the global feed.

BTW Here's a tip. You can see what another person's feed looks like by adding '/feed' to their URL, e.g.

https://steemit.com/@steevc/feed

good advise, checking this! Thanks @steevc

Sounds like a good idea ! But very complicated ! Itwould also need to be easy enough to use for everyone 😊👍

I think it would be easy to use

  1. View your feed
  2. See a list of the tags used in your feed
  3. Click one of those tags
  4. See the filtered list

Simples!

That does sound pretty good ! 👍😊
