It's good that you flag them as most people don't, maybe prepare something which you can copy and paste back to them which explains why what they're doing is wrong?

I am near desperate to get to my slider bar lol! I have to stop voting for a couple days to recharge so my awesome 3 cent vote comes back... There are people and posts I want to encourage, way more than 20 a day, and I will be glad to have a little control over that.
Thanks for the comment about vote buying. I do not like it, don't like bots that vote either - they can't READ or detect "quality" content.

Me too, now I'm careful when I upvote, I try to make 10 upvotes at most daily.... by the way, glad to find another 3 cent upvoter...!!

I am TRYING not to vote for ONE MORE DAY, then I should be back to 100%. Meanwhile, I am trying to devise a strategy. I have real world friends getting on now, I want to help them. I have the people who helped me when I was brand new, I want to keep supporting them. My husband is trying to get more and more active, although he works crazy rotations so "consistency" won't happen until he retires, but I still want to upvote his stuff... Plus I am "meeting" more and more awesome people here already that I want to "show friendship" with an upvote... I LIKE the upvote button, it makes everybody happy lol!

If you don't mind my asking do you remember how long it took you about to go from level 69 to 70 ! I have been blogging and commenting everyday practically 24/7 and im at level 69 for like 4 or 6 months now LOL!! im at 69.8 now for a long time !! Its crazy , im wondering if my counter is broken or what I need to do differently to move faster !? Any ideas !? Thanks !👌👍😊

It took about six months. At the current rate might take a year or more to get to 71. It's supposed to be hard. Just need big votes from highly ranked people

But I couldn't agree with you more ! those comments like "nice post " / "Thanks for sharing " / "Please up vote my post " Begging !! Only makes me want to NEVER follow you , And certainly NEVER up vote you Or check out your post !! As I don't flag , but I have muted many !! LOL! Good quality comments and posts will always get my up vote if its something I like , such as this post my friend !! And it doesn't matter if your a newbie and your post is at 0 !! your vote is worth a $ but that dollar is (half) made of SBD, which are worth 11USD :)
( btw, did you noted that now you can choose the reward distribution even in comments? ^^)

My vote is worth more than a dollar as well. At the beginning I really was doing some vote buying.......I think everyone does. Now that I actually have money to give a find it much more enjoyable to engage the community...... as you mentioned.

Mine is $0.02. And I’m happy about it. Hehe. Everytime a $0.00 posts turns into $0.02 gives me a happy feeling. Haha. I have 3 travel posts that was noticed by curie and I used it to Power Up my account. I have really high hopes with Steemit! Its really hard to get noticed, but with patience and perseverance, I know someday my efforts will pay off. I can’t wait to resign from work and just do Steemit while I travel the world. 🤞🏼

Travelling the world and Steem about it sounds a great glimpse of the future!
About "feeding some whales", well, I see it as some online games, its called "Level Boosting" ! We use the whales to help boost our level for a while, and in the process we try to get noticed! :D
It´s all about the content!

It’s kind of a duty for people with such a high SP to only give votes to deserving people, like the typical phrase in Spider-Man “with great power comes great responsibility”.

I only hope to one day be able to hold so much SP! I suppose patience and dedication are key.

That's all very good advice. I especially like the idea of not buying votes but working for "organic" ones. I think the whole vote buying economy is a detriment to the success of the steem blockchain as it's using it in a way that it was not really intended to be used. The rewards are supposed to go to valuable content, not to be distributed for payment. If there is reward pool rape, that's one of the ways to do it.

I guess people also do it to boost their reputation, but it shouldn't really count. Steemit is for good content, not just a dash for cash. At least some people are countering the spam out there.

In a way, I get it that everybody involved is just trying to use the resources they have to their advantage and to meet certain goals of theirs. I understand the whales that are leasing their SP to bots, I understand the bot operators who see an opportunity to make money and want to get in on the action and I even understand the people using those services to boost their accounts (though I understand them the least). Still, I view this as quite the unproductive way to use the platform and as something that is diminishing the overall value and competitiveness of Steem as the idea was never for votes to be traded like that.

I just noticed yesterday (yeah a bit slow on many things) that you could promote a post, but why. It is like "Bootsing" a facebook post... for what? An organic growth give you so much information about you concepts, presentation, market,etc... not just grubbers trying to beg votes and followers.

Congratulations on your achievement... but it brings an important issue upon us for the future. What happens When Steem is $100? What will you vote be worth then... and what happens if your Steem rises so much that you 1% vote equals $100.

There are people who can give a dollar or more with 1%. It seems they can do smaller votes, but not with the Steemit site.

Congrats @steevc. Mine just went up to $.04. Yes, it's a good strategy not to buy upvotes specially at this time. So much is happening in the crypto world so I wrote a post about LTC. Exactly a year ago on Nov 9, 2016, its price was $3.69. Today, on Nov 9, it's price is $156. The post is about it and I would like your input on it if you have time.

Regarding SBD, I have an off topic question, are you using Bittrex? If yes, I want o share this scenario with you: 2 days back, I converted SBDs to BTC at Bittrex. The orders is marked as complete but the amount is still not received in my BTC wallet there. Do you know anything about this issue?

Any response would be appreciated.

Totally agree with this excitement we can get quantity instead of quality. And I think that the people who bought votes for SBD, feeding whales, very much regret it now.

agree, that only to good posts and comments get decent value. steemit teaches us to daoat judge any quality posts that are interesting, useful and provide additional knowledge. then through steemit we can imagine whatever we want as long as it does not disturb others.

Right = correct. Wright is a person who makes things, e.g. wheelwright. I suggest you say more in a comment if you hope to gain votes. I want good discussions, not just maximum comments. People will see if you always make the same comment and may flag as spam.

That's good, but your comment did not show this. I see you wrote "Welcome See my art if you interested." to lots of people. That is considered spam by me. Comments should relate to the post and say something interesting. I get too many that say nothing and that is annoying. Just my opinion

Find people who share your interests and talk to them. You may gain some followers who will vote for you. Maybe look for people who speak your language too. It doesn't have to all be in English.
