Is the 650,000 Target Accounts by Year End still achievable?
Recently we hit +325,000 Registered Accounts on STEEMIT, passing the halfway point of the 650,000 Target Accounts by Year End.
As we hit this halfway point milestone, I wanted to share with you some stats.
The average number of Daily Accounts registered in August currently stands at 1,733 Accounts per day.
In order to see the average projected growth per day we need for the remainder of the year based on this figure, I have included an additional calculation.
Taking the current daily average of 1,733 Accounts per day, we will need to see an average growth of +43.9% per day, or +2,493 Accounts per day on average for the remainder of the year.
Is this achievable?
To answer this, I decided to look back over: June, July and August.
Over the last 84 days we have hit over +2,493 Accounts per day on 29 out of the 84 days, or 34.5%.
So, is +2,493 Accounts per day achievable? Yes, but it will be tight..!!

When steemit fixes the signing up process, then we can sure reach the goal. But as long as this is an issue, steemit's grow will be slowly🤔

Most people in China have difficulty to register steemit. The great fire wall of China blocked many famous websites: google, facebook, youtube, etc. Recently, I have a trip to China and found out steemit is not blocked. Though, I was not able to open the images of steemit using my cell phone with a new Chinese sim card, I had no problem to access the website and text. Using wifi, I was able to access steemit and photos without problem, though it's slow to open the images. It's surprisedly fast to upload photos in China, so I have no problem to post photos and articles at there.
I was trying to create steemit accounts for my family members in China, but failed. One step I was not able to pass is the captcha. I believe it used google, and google is blocked by China. I had no chance to test whether Chinese mobile phone can be used to set up the account, because I cannot see the image of captcha.
Yes, there are many users of steemit in China. They are only a few of netizens who know how to bypass the great firewall. Most ordinary people do not know how to bypass, or have concerns to bypass.
I believe, if steemit can make it possible for ordinary Chinese people to sign up, then it's easy to get many new users each day.
Now a Chinese company made something that is similar to steemit and targeting Chinese users. Therefore, Steemit should solve this sign up issue and attract Chinese users now.
Though, China does not block steemit at this time, it can block steemit at any time. However, been blocked may not be a bad thing. It means steemit is successful and be noticed by Chinese authority.

Hope so. I just read a post about plans for design an development for steemit and im sure dtube will come under that. I think the layout could be a bit more sexy on both sites, but thats all in good time.
With the right marketing, design, and crypto gaining more and more attention in the mainstream world i can see it as a real possibility. Imagine what will happen when major news networks start broadcasting about Steem like they do about Bitcoin!?

It will definitely be close,but i don't think we will reach 325,000 by the end of the year ,maybe around the 300,000 mark but who really knows the figure could be much higher.The year 2018 will probably see an even bigger growth,thanks for sharing.

That is a lot of steemians together. It may be achievable but a tough task to get 2493 per day. Steem is growing slowly and steadily. Let's let it move up on its own. I try in every way to propagate Steem to the community. I hope whatever little i do helps in the growth. Thank you for the stats.

I think there will be an influx of new steemers as the school year begins now if not soon. Current users from college on down will influence their peers to get on here. Facebook is so passe now with all the censorship, this still has a great shot to meet it's target.

If we have another price surge I can see daily registrations rising. Also, I believe there are plans for promotion this year which should also boost accounts.
