The altcoins are coming down right now but STEEM is holding up well. STEEM is off its high and it will be interesting at what level it will form a base at.
I think you are right about the huge uptick in new accounts having an impact on the STEEM price. Continued growth at this level of new account creation should support a higher STEEM price (higher than it has been recently in the $0.20 range).
Look forward to continued growth of the SteemIt platform, the user community, and the STEEM price.
I want to thank you for your SteemIt awareness campaign. I think you had an impact on bringing in a few new users too. The STEEM momentum continues to build.

I do remember a higher number of accounts being created when the Dollar Vigilante joined SteemIt. The Dollar Vigilante made me aware of SteemIt and the reason I joined back in August 2016.
