  1. “But I make known to you, brethren, that the gospel which was preached by me is not according to man.
  2. For I neither received it from man, nor was I taught it, BUT IT CAME THROUGH THE REVELATION OF JESUS CHRIST.”
    Galatians 1:11,12 (NKJV)

“for prophecy never came by the will of man, BUT HOLY MEN OF GOD SPOKE AS THEY WERE MOVED BY THE HOLY SPIRIT.”
1 John 1:21 (NKJV)

• Your depth in the Word of God determines your height in the ministry.

  • Height in the ministry is not measured by the material acquisitions, but the fruition of the the person—the level of impacts such has been able to make.
  • If you equip yourself and feed the people of God, you will save yourself and the people under your leadership (1 Timothy 4:15,16).
  • Repetition is the mother of all learning. Read the Word of God, the Bible, again and again!
  • Your primary duty is to first of all read and study the Word of God and pray consistently.
WORD and prayer should be given the utmost priority in your life: "2 Then the twelve summoned the multitude of the disciples and said, “IT IS NOT DESIRABLE THAT WE SHOULD LEAVE THE WORD OF GOD AND SERVE TABLES. 4 “BUT WE WILL GIVE OURSELVES CONTINUALLY TO PRAYER AND TO THE MINISTRY OF THE WORD" (Acts 6:2,4 NKJV).

• As you give yourself to the knowledge of the Word and Prayer, the Holy Spirit will begin to illuminate your mind.
IF you fellowship with Him, your eyes of understanding would be opened, illuminated, to receive light, Revelation in the knowledge of God (Ephesians 1:17,18; Galatians 1:11,12).

  • You can only eat from the hidden manner in the holiest of all through sanctification and consecration (Revelation 2:17). IN other words, you have to live a sanctified and consecrated life to receive light and Revelation from the the Bible (Psalm 45:6,7).
  • You also do not study the Word of God on the road.
TO receive Revelation, you have to sit down and learn at the feet of the Lord Jesus Christ.
  • You allow the Holy Spirit to tutor you: “But you have received THE HOLY SPIRIT, AND HE LIVES WITHIN YOU, so you don’t need anyone to teach you what is true. FOR THE SPIRIT TEACHES YOU EVERYTHING YOU NEED TO KNOW, and what he teaches is true—it is not a lie. So just as he has taught you, REMAIN IN FELLOWSHIP WITH CHRIST"
    (1 John 2:27 NLT).

• Vision which is the set plan of God for an individual comes through an encounter with God.

  • If you grow in your walk, your relationship and fellowship, with God, that gives birth to passion, and passion gives birth to visions.
  • Apostle Paul said he received the messages he was preaching through the revelation of Jesus Christ (Galatians 1:12).
  • Every genuine messenger has a message.
IF God has called you and sent you, He will give you a message, to those whom He has sent you.
THE essence of a messenger is the message he or she bears.

• Note: Your mess is your message! Some of the things you have gone through are the bases for your MESSAGE [your emphasis in preaching and teaching].
GOD will train you, allowed you to be tested in line of what He wanted to use you for.

  • In addition, your message determines the people who are attracted to you.
  • You are sent to a group of people spread across the globe. Through what you preach, that is, your message [the biblical emphasis given you by God and your experience]; those whom you are sent get to know about you and be attracted to you, and identified with you.
YOUR sound, or message has an aroma that attracts. When those whom you are sent perceived the noticeable smell of your message, the spiritual food that you are dishing out, they will run to you and gather up for a feast.
  • Some Ministers are given the sound of Bible faith, that is, their emphasis should be on the teaching of Bible faith, whilst some their emphasis is on holiness, some on prosperity, some on soul winning, some on Prayer, and other subjects of the Bible. Usually what you emphasize in your message or messages would be what God has taken You through in your Christian life, that is, in your Walk with Him—your experiences in God, in your Christian journey.

• The truth is, SOMEONE whose relationship and fellowship with God has not been sound cannot receive a call into the MINISTRY—because the ministry oozes or emanates from your relationship and fellowship with God. It is a by-product of your Walk with God.

  • It would be difficult for someone who does not have a sound and working relationship with God to claim he or she has a call into the MINISTRY.
ALTHOUGH, that may not be ruled out completely; it does happen, I am not disputing it, we have seen some people who received a call into the ministry as soon as they gave their life to Christ, but God would still need to do more work in the life of such people.
  • Such a person may not have enough practical biblical experiences to mix with the Word of God which they would be studying AND that could make their preaching or teaching ineffective, and such minister may not make any maximum impact in the LIVES of those who hear them (1 Timothy 4:15,16).
    THE person would still be a novice, or be like a natural person in the things of the Spirit (1 Corinthians 2:14,15);
AND God does not put novices to work (1 Timothy 3:6).
IF God does at all, extra work would be done on such BY Him, and also the person could be given a special grace or an enablement to learn fast.
WHAT has taken some who are ahead of such a person any number of years to learn would be made known to such under a couple of months or years.
  • The person would need to grow alongside with his or her work—the assignment or ministry.
  1. “BUT YOU MUST CONTINUE IN THE THINGS WHICH YOU HAVE LEARNED AND BEEN ASSURED OF, knowing from whom you have learned them,
  2. and that from childhood you have known the Holy Scriptures, WHICH ARE ABLE TO MAKE YOU WISE for salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus.
  3. All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, AND IS PROFITABLE FOR DOCTRINE, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness,
  4. THAT THE MAN [woman] OF GOD MAY BE COMPLETE, THOROUGHLY EQUIPPED FOR EVERY GOOD WORK.”
    2 Timothy 3:14-17 (NKJV)

• You will not fail in Jesus' name.
Peace!
