EDIT: It appears that the node is back up and running. Several websites that were down are now back up.
I went to the Peace, Aubundance, and Liberty Network on Discordapp.com saw the following message.
A node is down. You cannot post in here because the bots are not working. A lot of Steemit isn't working. This is not only a PALnet problem. ---- P L E A S E J U S T W A I T.
If this is a widespread Steemit issue, be careful as you complete important Steemit transactions (especially large transfers).
I would also recommend that you save the content of your Steemit posts to a word document as well.
How discordapp error can be connected to steemit?

PALNet (one discord channel) runs bots that operate on Steemit. That channel is reporting a problem with a node.
Steemd.com is reporting: "Node maintenance in progress. You may notice some features missing until it is complete."
Sounds like there is a problem with one of the Steemit nodes.
