What? Q&A App on Steemit - Earn Steem by Asking & Answering Questions

Late last night, I was looking through the list of current projects on Steem and came across the What Q&A app. As a relatively new user of steemit, I'm finding things out about the platform on a near daily basis and I thought I would share this one.

There is load of information on it in previous posts by the developers here on their main account so I won't go into too much detail about what it does and besides the concept is pretty straight forward - you post a question, other users answer it. Rewards are then given out for topical questions as well as meaningful answers.

Personally, I have used sites like Quora and Yahoo Answers in the past both to ask questions and occasionally to answer them as well. I am however, always amazed as to the amount of contribution some users make to those sites without any rewards coming back in the opposite direction, at least not directly from using the Quora site itself. Those answering questions can of course link to their personal blogs, videos, e-books or even businesses and services that they run on a professional basis. Equally though, if given the chance would they not like to take some kind of reward directly from the platform they are using for taking the time to answer a multitude of questions of a variety of topics? I know I would!

Looking at some stats on the Quora site they claim to have approximately 190 million monthly users posting on close to half a million different topics. According to the site techcrunch.com, Quora itself is said to be worth close to $2billion dollars. As such this could be a massive deal if Steemit and the What? Q&A can muscle in on some of that market.

If this sounds a little bit like one of those pitches you constantly see about cryptocurrencies and ICOs then I guess in a sense it is and this would usually be the bit where the author would disclose that he/she is invested in the same project on which they are writing about. Yes, as a steemit user I am invested in this project and all of the great developments that continue to roll out across the platform as a whole but then if you are reading this post then you too are invested in steemit and the value of the cryptocurrencies that underpin it - whether that's via a direct cash investment or simple investment of your time you have a vested interest in making projects like this a success.

So get out there, ask some questions on this platform, answer some as well, tell your friends and families to do the same. The app is available on IOS and Android, you won't need to create a separate account as it's all linked with your main steemit account and rewards go back into in just the same way that they do via your blog here.
