Well, having my articles or essays cited as references in academic peer reviewed journals is one of the best things that could ever happen to me, as it shows appreciation to my long years of experience in the blockchain technology. I already have around 10 works of mine cited as references in some of the most influential peer reviewed CS and cryptography related journals, but this time it is entirely different, as the cited content is an article that I wrote on Steemit, yes, an article on Steemit has been used as a reference in a paper published in "Computer Science and Information Technology", a peer reviewed computer science journal. The paper is part of a research line by CTO, calvIO Inc (part of the Calvary Robotics Group),855 Publishers Pkwy, Webster, NY 14580, USA
Here is a link to the paper:

and here is a screenshot of my name in the references list, with the Steemit link, shinning near it!
It is really a big thing to see content on Steemit appreciated and cited as references in academic journals, as it shows how much valuable is the content on the world's top decentralized social network.
It is just the beginning and soon enough, we will see even more content on Steemit cited in academic papers, as there is really unique high quality content here and many are working their asses off to produce unmatcheable content.
Haha, I'm currently writing my dissertation; this made my day! Congratulations!
