Steemit Content Creators: Secret Way To Get IdeassteemCreated with Sketch.

Business-Building Action from Terry Brock

If you create content for your social media work, your blog, or other areas of promotion, you'll want to see this handy way I, and many others, get some wonderful ideas. This is a little trick that I use to see a lot of great ideas for one source and then combine it with other ideas.

I got this ideal from fellow Steemian, and friend. @lesliestarrohara. She wrote a great post about how she gets ideas as a writer. Well, I enthusiastically agree with her and wanted to expand on one of her ideas (you'll see it in the video). In this video I share my screen with you from both my computer and my iPad so you see exactly, step-by-step how you can use this trick to get ideas for your next Steemit post, video, blog post, or other content. Couple this with lots of books (hence the Kindle graphic you see above) and you'll see the power.

This gives us the ability to retain the "best of the best" when we read something.

Watch this video and then share it with others. I'll look forward to getting your input and thoughts.

All the best,

Terry

Thank you, xidaro. I appreciate your kind words.

no upvote :( now I am sad :(

Terry, some great tips and you reminded me to put Jim's book on my reading list. I too use the hi-lighter in kindle & iBooks. Right now I'm using a writing app called Scrivener and learning to dictate for my projects. Keep up the great work!

Thank you for mentioning that, tomtrial. I've heard of Scrivener and it has been recommended by some authors that I admire. How has it helped you?

Thank you for mentioning ditation. I use it extensively in my work as a journalist. I find that it is ideal particuarly for the first, rough draft. I like the way it increases my speed of getting thoughts to screen.

In fact, it might be good to have a post here on Steemit on that. Thank you for the idea. Hope you have a great day and I look forward to hearing more from you.

@terrybrock you should give a speach at #steemfest2 I would love to listen to you from up close again.
Up-ed and re-steemed. I hope this helps and inspire creators to be more efficient.

Thank you, skapaneas. You are most kind. Yes, it would be good to speak at Steemfest in Lisbon. I would like to share some ways that my fellow Steemians can succeed in not only Steemit but in business and life today. Perhaps this will happen.

Hope you have a very good day today. We're in 4th of July here in the US and it is a celebration day of our Independence. I like to think of each individual acheiving his or her own independence to do what they want. This is what life is about, achieving your own goals and becoming exactly what you want to be.

Always good to hear from you, my friend. So glad we had a chance to meet when I was over in Greece. All the best!

REMARKABLE AND AWESOME CONTENT,NEED MORE OF THIS FROM YOU@TERRYBROOK

Thank you, klue! I really appreciate your kind comment. Looking forward to hearing more from you in the future.

sure,u welcome

Wow, Terry! Great video. Thanks for the shout-out! So cool that my post inspired you. I'm definitely going to be using those Kindle app features. I didn't even know about the notes function!

Glad you liked it, Starr. Yes, you were the inspiration for this video. Thank you!

When you mentioned reading books as a source for ideas, it triggered my thinking. With those highlights and sending them to yourself, you have the tool to get the essence of the best of the book. That is usually very good for triggering some thoughts for content creation.

Always nice to hear from you, Starr. Hope you have a good 4th of July ahead however you choose to celebrate. Gina and I are going to be very productive, getting work done, and get some good relaxing & chilling in as well.

Cheers to you!

Hey man thanks 4 sharing the secret. will b gr8 full to you

Thank you for your note, imth3best1. Hope you have a very good day.

Really appreciate what your doing here Terry. There is much valuable content that isn't getting the attention it deserves. I'm so glad your keeping your eyes open for opportunities!

Thank you, mikeonfire. Glad you enjoy that and I look forward to staying in touch. Hope you have a most enjoyable day today.

HI Terry, Thanks for teaching the highlight method on Kindle. I am going to use this method to come up with ideas for writing content on Steemit.

Glad you liked it, carolynseymour. I've really enjoyed what Kindle can do. Coupled with the ability to send to our own email the best of a good book helps a lot.

All the best to you

Thank you Terry

Will do.

I tend to prefer physical books, but this trick would be really useful. Thanks!

Thanx, shenanigator. Yes, there is still a lot of value with physical paper books. I just tend to like the extra digital abilities with eBooks. Gld you liked my post. Always good to hear from you. Hope you have a great day!

Terry, so good to find you on steemit. Ok, I have the bug now, so I just have to get up to speed. Thank you for telling me about this.
