I have been getting work done on Revulsion but it has been much slower than my normal work speed. with that said I have been kind of just having fun with blogging and settling in on my new work space. There is something about me where I need to feel at home before I can really work to my full potential.
With that said, I do have some new systems in place to make working on new sections of the game easier.
Functionality for moving forward
I have a special test level with access to all of the loot in the entire game. This test level also gives me a huge amount of credits and provides a simple spawn area so I can test the guns on enemies as well as move around. In one section of the test level I have a fast travel portal that provides me with access to every single fast travel location in the entire game.
This means I can build up a fresh character, choose a desired load out then go to the furthest location in the game to test the newest areas.
I have also been working on new tile sets and modules for the geometry of the next area in the Under Tunnels.
I have quite a bit more than just the two above assets. The idea will be to begin fleshing out the new level. This new section of the game should easily add another 30-45 minutes of total game play. I also want to add some new blueprints as well as enemy types for this section of the game as well.
This should all be in place before Revulsion hits steam Early access sometime next month. :D
