Not meaning to be rude, but where have you got your information from? This information is horribly flawed in the fact that you need a much more pressurised atmosphere. You can colonise Mars but not this way. For the way you have said you would need to boost the atmosphere mass. Currently the pressure of Mars atmosphere is less than 1% that of Earths. The time scale to increase the mass of the atmosphere is in 1000s of years and it still may not work as the gravity of mars is very small making it easy for the atmosphere (especially at higher pressure and temperature) to be boiled away .
