Measuring the Steemit Barrier to Entry

in steemit •  8 years ago  (edited)

If "work" & "reward" is the true method of exchange represented by the crypto-currency there will be a lot of people who input "work" into Steemit that will never see any "reward" or "exchange" for that "work". Browsing some peoples' profiles reveals that many people stay here and do a lot of "work" without much reward. By virtue of that dynamic I see the "barrier to entry" might actually be retro-active and will correlate to "buyers [workers'] remorse".

To say, "but you do it anyway on facebook ,et al" does not actually compare because no one has any expectations of making any currency on Facebook. That is unless you are selling stuff there.

Time will tell.
