Why I stopped using Dtube and now post all videos directly to Steemit blockchain via You Tube

This isn't trying to bash Dtube or tell you not to use the platform, just explaining why I left and now use direst Steemit post.

When I started out on Steemit one of the first people who supported my work was Dtube and at the time it felt amazing, I uploaded all my work on Dtube and even stopped pushing my You Tube completely for 6 months(which was a mistake) and went full bore on Dtube. At the time I thought Dtube had a promising future and was all in with the Dapp.

The initial phase was kinda like "puppy love" I only saw the good and didn't take time to look at the possible bad aspects.

The "bad" side of Dtube started to show when I spoke my mind about things I didn't like about Dtube. Once you start to "upset" people within the Dtube system, you're directly making the people who own the limited votes less interested in your work. On You Tube I can talk all I want about how You Tube sucks and my payment would never be effected, I'd have to push the content to extreme video in order for You Tube to even care about what I say, my views would still be mine and those equal ads which support my channel.

On Dtube a very few select hands control the vote and since not all Steemit users use or even like Dtube, you're limiting yourself from a good portion of Steemit support while giving most of your support to a small group of people. This in turn can heavily effect you support, they don't like you .. you get no votes. Dtube likes to say you have more freedom to do what you want than You Tube but that's just not the case if you want decent support for your channel. If you ever fall out of the "cool kids" club, your support drops. This would never happen to my You Tube channel, even tho many Dtube users try to say it's the other way around.

The chances of You Tube taking away your channels ads is WAAAAAAAY less than your chances to lose support on Dtube were a small select can just stop support you at anytime. Dtube likes to make it seem like You Tube will take your support away but in reality it's much easier to lose all support on Dtube.

Fact is Dtube is more limited with support than You Tube or direct post to the Steemit blockchain and I don't se myself ever going back to Dtube as a uploading system, not with the current voting system in place. A small select group of people who's identity are "hidden" and control most of the votes for the Dtube system create a VERY one sided and restricted system in which everyone is playing a game to be "cool" with the people who hold votes. It's not what you make but who likes you. Quality doesn't mean anything and topics that these VERY LIMITED people don't care for don't get support.

You Tube has access to users around the world and those users decide if I get support, not some nameless round table who are most likely really stuck up on their voting position.

These are the main reasons I post on You Tube and share directly to the Steemit blockchain now. Then you add in the fact my videos stay on You Tube forever. I just felt like I needed to get this off my chest and express my opinion.

I need to thank everyone who has supported my work on Steemit the last few months. I was really losing hope within the Dtube system and stepping away has given me NEW LIFE within Steemit.

Todd

It had nothing to do with acidyo. He didn’t even flag you as far as I saw and we don’t talk.

why are your comments getting down votes ? This is a perfect example. People like the say the freedom of this platform but in many ways that can be not the case. I found DTUBE is the worst of them all, very restricted and easy to lose support or never get it because the round table doesn't like you or care about your content.

Well, that is kinda brutal. LOL. I'm all about counter points and people thinking what they want but at the same time I think it should be said in a adult manner
