The pay to win aspect doesn't help either, but it just seems that it's very difficult for me to find a decent post. When I'm on Reddit, I rarely have this problem, so hopefully when more and more people join, the system will work itself out.
I'm starting to notice too, that earning Steem slowly over time, and powering up is pretty much not doing anything against those that spend money on Steem, so no matter how good my work is, I'll never actually make it on here... fun first for me though, so I don't care.
I agree...when I open a page...over whelming...I may click through a few to see if any "gems"...but so many pass by without notice...and I don't understand the "bots" stuff...
However...seems that if one hangs in long enough and catches some attention and followers...they see your work each time and possibly spider web it out to others...
I feel that way at times...I think its a flaw with the whole concept that to get recognized...quantity of posts seems to override quality....

I don't think more users is the answer, better users is. The money aspect tends to draw in the worst of the worst.
The site should have been designed in a way that it's fun to use without the money. Then you add in the money, and you have a winner.
But even so, easy, free money attracts morons. I believe it was Newton's 11th law of physics.

True indeed, and the bots I believe are one of the biggest problems on here, that and self-voting.
