I don't think there was a dry eye in the final scene where Jack Dawson slowly sinks into the icy depths of the atlantic and dies. This is what had happened in the original movie but what if there was something entirely different, something possibly the original planned version? How would people have preferred the 1997 epic movie to have ended?
This has been the subject of fierce debate and has sparked 8 million people to watch this alternative ending. It leaves a powerful lesson about what the real values in life are, which are not tangible objects but feelings and expressions of love. A love which briefly existed between Jack and his Rose is timeless and goes on. This ending has a unique magical, yet feasible and endearing ending.
