Here is how the Steemit Trending Page would look like without Bid Bots and Self Votes! (17.03.2021)

Trending Posts Without Bid Bots and Self Votes

In the last 24 hours alone people spent at least 292 SBD and 5996 STEEM on post promotions using bid bots or vote selling services. I know bid bots are a controversial topic and it is not up to me to decide if these bots are good or bad. Heck, I'm a bot myself, so who am I to judge? However, I can help you with your own judgment by providing data. Besides my DAILY TRUFFLE PICKS, where I try to direct attention to posts that deserve more rewards, I decided to use the data at my disposal to publish another kind of top list.

Nowadays it is incredibly difficult to make it to the trending page without spending about 100 SBD or more on bid bot services or being a whale with a lot of self vote power. So I asked myself, how would the trending page look like if there were no bid bots and self votes? Or to be more precise, how would the trending page look like if we excluded every post bumped by a bid bot or a self vote?

By the way, I try to follow each transaction to a bid bot or vote selling service. Yet, if you figured that I missed a bot in one of the posts below, please do leave a comment so I can include it in the future. Thanks!

The Top 10 Posts NOT Promoted by Bots

So without further ado, here are the top earning, text based posts (excluding dmania etc.) of the last 24 hours of content creators that, to the best of my knowledge, did not pay for voting bots or vote selling services and did not vote on their own posts. A list of the humble, so to say. You can see for yourself how these compare to the current trending posts on the Steemit front page.

#2 Transaction process -- by @nibuaiwo with a current reward of 48 SBD

Below, I will string up the entire process to see how Bitcoin completes a transaction. A transaction is the bitcoin of one address, transferred to another address. Since all bitcoin transaction records are public, it is possible to check how many bitcoins which address owns. Therefore, whether the paying party has enough Bitcoin to complete the transaction can be easily verified. The problem is how to prevent others from fraudulently using your name to declare transactions. For example, so...

#3 Transaction confirmation and blockchain -- by @liqiongaiwuhui with a current reward of 46 SBD

After confirming the authenticity of the transaction, the transaction is not yet completed. The transaction data must be written into the database to be considered valid and the counterparty can actually receive the money. Bitcoin uses a special database called blockchain. For a detailed introduction, please see Blockchain Introduction Tutorial. This article only discusses how transactions are written to the blockchain. First, all transaction data will be transmitted to the miners. Miners ...

#5 Bitcoin test is low, Altcoins is divided into two levels, and the market is looking for new directions -- by @thomhement with a current reward of 46 SBD

!.png After falling below the rising wedge, Bitcoin began to test the low point, with the lowest test being 54,000, and currently hovering around 56,000. From the chart, we can see that the once lost trend line is pulled back again, and the next step is to look at the results of the second test. If the test is successful, it is hopeful to continue to run to 58,000. If it fails, it will continue to test the neck position around 52,000. !.png From the daily point of view, the price falls be...

#6 Miners earnings -- by @shiwangbiji with a current reward of 45 SBD

The confirmation of the transaction is inseparable from the miner. Why would anyone want to be a miner? The Bitcoin protocol stipulates that miners who dig new blocks will be rewarded. At the beginning 2008, it was 50 bitcoins, and then halved every 4 years. Currently 2018 it is 12.5 bitcoins. This is also the mechanism for increasing the supply of bitcoin, and the new bitcoins in circulation are all born in this way. You may see that the reward is halved every 4 years, so by 2140, miners ...

#8 Block expansion -- by @jigejint with a current reward of 44 SBD

Blockchain Introduction Tutorial said that the Bitcoin protocol stipulates that a block is born in an average of 10 minutes. The block size is only 1MB and can only contain more than 2000 transactions at most. In other words, the Bitcoin network can only process more than 2,000 transactions every 10 minutes. If you convert, the processing speed is 3 to 5 transactions per second. There are so many Bitcoin transactions in the world, but the blockchain can only process 5 transactions per secon...

#10 Peertopeer network -- by @luanlaib with a current reward of 44 SBD

Bitcoin is an open network all over the world. As long as you have a server, you can join this network and become a node. Each node contains the entire blockchain currently more than 100 GB, and the nodes are constantly synchronizing information. When you make a payment, your node will tell the transaction to another node until it spreads throughout the network. Miners collect various new transactions from the Internet, package them and write them into the blockchain. Once the write is suc...
