Wie ich meine Blog-Artikel ins Englische übersetze: Ganz einfach, ich verwende seit einiger Zeit DeepL. DeepL ist ein deutsches Übersetzungstool im Web ähnlich Google Translate, nur besser, das mittlerweile 10 Sprachen beherrscht und von einer deutschen Firma entwickelt wird, was ich super finde.
Die Übersetzung ist erstaunlich gut, oft sogar gefühlt besser als Google Translate derzeit und hilft mir enorm viel Zeit zu sparen, da ich nicht mehr mühsam zwei Texte verfassen muss.
Ich schreibe den Text also so wie diesen hier zuerst auf Deutsch, übersetze ihn dann anschließend mit DeepL und redigiere den englischen Text noch kurz, um die offensichtlichsten Fehler auszubessern. Voilà!

How I translate my blog articles into English: Very simple, I've been using DeepL for some time now. DeepL is a German translation tool on the web similar to Google Translate, but better. It now translates 10 languages and is developed by a German company, which is awesome.
The translation is amazingly natural and accurate, and it often feels even better than Google Translate at the moment and helps me to save a lot of time, because I don't have to write two texts anymore.
So I write the text like this one in German first, then translate it with DeepL and edit the English text briefly to correct the most obvious mistakes. Voilà!

Es ist irgendwie traurig, wenn man keine Sprachen mehr lernen muß, um in ihnen zu kommunizieren.

Ich bin fließend auf Englisch und auf Deutsch, doch ich finde es leichter genau diese Methode anzuwenden. Wenn man nicht sprachkundig ist, dann sind natürlich ein Haufen Fehler drin. Ich verwende Google, und dadurch dass ich immer die Fehler ausbessere, wird auch Google ein bisschen "gescheiter", was dann auch für den Nächsten mehr behilflich ist.
Schwedisch ist meine dritte Sprache, aber ohne Google würde ich es wahrscheinlich schwer finden - es sind ja schon so um die 50 Jahre her als ich es noch fließend beherrschte.

Danke für den Hinweis lieber Viktor, ich verwende zwar (noch immer) Google, aber habe diesen Link auch gespeichert und werde es ausprobieren. Obwohl ich fließend in beiden Sprachen bin finde ich es angenehm wenn ich dann nur mehr die Fehler ausbessern muss. Auf meinem Computer habe ich Spellcheck auf drei Sprachen eingestellt und das hilf auch wieder weil ich aus alter Gewohnheit immer die selben Fehler mache (can't teach an old dog new tricks).

Eigentlich kann man Deepl schon vertrauen. Man sollte allerdings keine zu langen oder zu komplizierten Sätze "füttern", dann klappt das auch meist.
