The 4 things Steemit has to do if it is going to survive and disrupt existing social networks

I'm new to Steem but not so much to social media. I've been on social networks all the way back to the days of MySpace and Geocities.
Since I'm new take what I say with a grain of salt but here are my early impressions:

  1. Go mobile
Everyone knows that the internet is moving away from the desktop to our portable devices. The fact that Steemit does not have
a native ios or android app will handicap it's adoption going into the future.
  2. Add native video
While you can embed video from Youtube, if Steemit is really going to shine. The world wants to share cat videos, let them!
  3. Separate the wallet functionalityinto it's own app
A Steemit user should not have to be in contant fear and worry about the state of their steem holdings. Separating out the wallet management into it's own app reduce the amount of anxiety associated with using this network
  4. A sharing API
This is the part that Google+ never got and it cost them. You need a sharing API. When I go to a cool site I should be able to easily share content to Steemit like any other social network.

There you go, again , just my opinion. I'm depending on you guys to correct me where I was wrong

Sort Order:
  1. Steem has https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.netsolutions.esteem&hl=en
  2. Steem has www.Dtube.video
  3. Steem has some wallets search for it
  4. Maybe this can help you github.com/steemit/steem

Thanks for clarifying on the mobile app. I'm trying it now but doesn't seem to be an official steemit app. I'll also check out dtube. For 3. I'm not saying steem doesn't have separate wallets, I was saying it should not be visible while browsing or a separate app altogether. Though if it's needed for the rewards to work then I guess that's OK. Lastly, thanks for the github link
