My Steemit Goals.

I joined Steemit early last week when I first heard about it and was    immediately enamored with the concept of a blockchain based social network.

So far, I love being a part of this community, it feels like most of us are here trying to make Steemit something special, and the energy is infectious.

I got a kick out of the makeup tutorial and the spoof posts that followed, and I've enjoyed trying to read technical discussions that are way over my head.

I have a few goals for Steemit that I'd like to share.

First off, I want to expand the types of topics being discussed here.

Makeup tutorials are a step in the right direction as far as I'm concerned.  Creative people making art, even if it's on someone's face is the type of positive energy that I believe this platform needs.  That's why I'm trying to post about the things that I know, such as Lego.  I love the idea of sharing my passions with others, and hopefully we can all continue to share our hobbies and skills.

Second, I want to use Steemit to help others discover new types of media.

As a video editor living in LA I have a lot of content that I make, as a result, I hope to gain some traction for various projects that I'm passionate about right here.  I'm planning to start posting music that I love including my own tracks. Here's a link to the first track off my debut album "Dat Booty" (thank you @ungratefulchump for that gem of a name)

The idea that artists no longer need to get a record deal or even freely give away music is amazing and has huge potential (think MySpace in the early days, every band had a page) It's incredible that If people like your music they can support you with up votes, though I guess if you think my music sucks I might get down voted...hmm

Thirdly, I hope to share my knowledge with others.

I play drums, edit video, mountain bike, compose music...but I'm also deaf in one ear and have a peanut allergy.

If anyone has questions about these subjects, tag me, I'd love to help answer questions or provide guidance.

It's only been a week, and I was initially concerned about security, but after seeing how @Ned handled this hack, I'm extremely confident in this platform and it's future.

 Until next time!

Your goals are similar to mine! With the main overall goal to make Steemit a more valuable platform in various ways. Good to see you commit yourself to them with a post.
