Hi Steemians,
Uffff! had a busy a bit busy from past two days and when I got some time for myself, it happened to see one of the post on steemit that made me crave for food. Staying away from home especially away from your own country makes your access to authentic local food of your place really difficult. I must accept that I'm not a great cook as of now but I'm getting better.
Recently @wandereronwheels uploaded a post on an Indian snack called Churmuri, which is one of my favourite too. It is made from puffed rice which is a great evening snack but not having access to puffed rice in the place that I stay made my craving for churmuri pending. Each time I see that blog and the beautiful picture of churmuri my crave for it just increases and today I came up with a substitute for the same.
"I know it does not taste exactly the same but, something is better than nothing"
Ingredients:
- Onion
- Tomato
- Coriander Leaves
- Lemon
- Peanuts (Optional)
- Aloo Bujiya/ Nimbu Bujiya
Procedure:
Just chop everything into fine pieces, Mix it well, Add a pinch of salt (if needed), squeeze the lime & enjoy.
No rocket science, it is just a substitute when your away from home like me. Only when you start staying away from home and country you will realise the importance of every single thing that your mother use to cook. So, if you relate to this please don't forget to UPVOTE and help me buy my new phone 😉
See you Soon
Love from London 😉
