Hello Jesse! Welcome to Steemit.

I am on Steemit because I love writing and enjoy cryptpcurrency. The two of them combined is a win - win. The fact that Steemit has no censorship is also a plus for me, and I believe is why it will outflank Facebook and other social media in the long run.

Awesome! I like the fact of no censorship and I learned a little about Bitcoin and think cryptocurrency is interesting to learn and I find it pretty cool innovation

I don't like people to be able to delete my posts. I don't like wasting time writing a comment to then find a post has been removed.

Welcome Jesse! What made you want to check out other types of social media?

Of course I understand, thanks!

I am on steemit basically to do science outreach. Teach people interesting things. Slowly one post and one read at a time increase peoples understanding of the world around them.

What particular field of science? That's a pretty cool idea.

I am a biochemist, so biology/chemistry. However I have been trying hard to help promote all science content on here. My personal writings focus on what I know best (and as such can make the biggest impact).

Interesting, I never did that well with math and science in school. Of course write what you know best, I'm traveling across the U.S. and just existing you'll be able to read that on another post.

I'm curious though, put in layman's terms. What are the top things you found most fascinating finding you've encountered or found that leave you asking more questions than what you had begun with?

Things I find most fascinating? I am predominantly interested in the biology of cancer and the various pathways that can lead to a cell turning bad. So I am fascinated by findings which clear up some of the fog dealing with how that happens (and there is a lot of fog).

Things that leave me asking more questions? Literally everything I have ever worked on. Science is a path of discovery, every time we finally open a door we find a new room with two doors in it. Every answer to a question allows us to ask new ones.

Yea I could only imagine. "Every answer to a question allows us to ask new ones." #truth there...I find myself always asking more questions, sometimes not asking the right questions to lead me to the accurate answer. Other times it seems, in life as you might observe in your field, that sometimes what might seem completely illogical at first is actually a very rational and accurate answer.
