I think as more and more people find out how easy it is to jump in and be a part of steemit that facebook public relations won't be very effective and may even work against fb because they be draining their resources trying to control something they just can't. This horse is waaay out of the barn. I don't think it will be too long before steemit nudges fb for all practical purposes out of the way.
