The naming of this forest park is taken from a figure from Aceh named Pocut Meurah Intan. Pocut Meurah Intan is a woman who comes from the descendants of the nobility of the Sultanate of Aceh who also fought against the Dutch. He is known to be a brave woman who does not know surrender.
During his life, armed only with rencong, Pocut Meurah Intan boldly once against 18 Dutch special soldiers called marsose. Got caught, thrown into prison by Dutch soldiers and badly injured until he suffered a permanent disability in the legs. The courage of Pocut Meurah Diamond was finally immortalized by the local government as the name of this forest park.
