"Aramang" A famous tons of shrimps that usually get caught on the month of November to January. These creatures can only be seen or catch seasonally in my place APARRI located at the Northern part of the Philippines near Batanes. Aparri is the only place where u can find the best "Aramang" ever.
We even have "Aramang Festival" where people wearing cool costumes, parades, competitions etc. where everyone is invited.
We usually make "Bagoong" from it or salted shrimp, cook it then put some ingridients and pair it to green mango and eat.
We can even cook aramang pancake or we so called "Ukoy" and dip it in a vinegar.
And most of all, what really amazes me about these creatures, they are glowing in the dark whenever you caugh some of them and dry them in a place so you can store them for a long time to cook and eat. One of the amazing thing I have ever seen!!!
