Christmas Day! Another Late Post. What we did!

in steemitdiversify •  7 years ago  (edited)

Yesterday was Christmas day. So this is another late post. Hard to make posts when you are busy or sleepy.

After the Christmas eve, everyone sleeps early morning and wake up late. Since there is no classes or work, most sleep in. The only ones who wake up early are usually the mothers or helpers because they are used to waking up early to prepare breakfast. But this time they prepare brunch or even lunch already. This is the time people can try to make up for lost sleep. Also the kids are tired out from the excitement of the gifts and toys. The parents are tired out from preparing the food and gifts and spending. #Family does not mean just related by blood but also those who are close to you and part of your family.

Same with my family. We all woke up a little later than usual. We prepared a simple lunch again for everyone in the house. We were less because some went home to the barrio. Also my helper's 2 daughters went home to the barrio to bring some food and gifts I prepared for their grandparents, my helpers parents. They are old but still can around but it is kind of far for them to come here. So I sent them spaghetti, bread, macaroni fruit salad and a t-shirt for the father and a house dress (duster) for the mother. I will also send them something for the New Year.. They were happy and surprised and I felt good to be able to share. Thanks to #streemit I had extra and more to share.

We had plain rice and fried rice, fried chicken and my helpers gave pork estopado. I was surprised and touched. They also wanted to share their blessings because besides gifts I also gave them a little money for them yet they preferred to share with us then to keep it for themselves. We also had soft drinks and some macaroni fruit salad for dessert.

Praying the grace before meals and thanking God for all the blessings He has given us.

Everyone happy and full. Always be happy for whatever blessing you get, no matter how small or big. Smile thru all your tears and sorrow, smile even though you don't feel like it because a smile can lighten up your day! It can also make people around you smile and feel happy too. Share and spread the happiness and blessings with those around you.

Again also an entry to @deadgrlsuppastar's #decemberphotcallenge - Dec. 25 - "Christmas Day ". Better late than never hehehehe.
