A happy day for all and even more for educators, we continue with the theme of the week (From Earth Day) and this is my second contribution to the work of Steem, proposed by @ steemiteducation. Speaking of the care of our mother earth.
I would like to share with you some of my views on how we should preserve and take more care of the land where we live and for that I want to talk about slash and burn today, important issues that we must take into consideration. Because they are issues that concern us all as human beings.
DEFORESTATION
Forests are part of the great ecosystem that is the Earth. The presence of trees is essential for the life of humans and animals, since they are related to the climate and the quality of the air that is breathed, deforestation is an important responsible factor, of the contamination of the environment.
The disappearance of trees increases environmental pollution, since trees absorb CO2 and transform it into oxygen, thus cleaning the atmosphere of pollutant gases that causes respiratory problems directly to people and animals, even contaminating water courses.
BURNING OF TREES
THE BURNING OF TREES. It is usually a provocation of the human being to nature, it is his hand that rises to do so, causing irreparable damage to the ecosystem, it is man who destroys the forest surface. It is the fire that spreads without control in forest land, affecting vegetal fuels that were not destined to burn.
During the Middle Ages, the peasantry prepared the land by slash and burn for its temporary cultivation.1 2 The operation of the land was carried out continuously until the fertility of the land was exhausted, and then the land was abandoned.
Slash and burn was common in mountain areas where there were traditionally no fields, in properties with large forest stands and in universities and communes that owned extensive communal lands.
In the industrialized regions - including Europe and North America - the practice was abandoned with the introduction of market agriculture and land ownership. However, slash and burn continues to be used in other parts of the world by some 200-500 million people.3 4 In 2004, it was estimated that only 500,000 small farmers in Brazil deforested each one an average of one hectare of land. forest per year.

With all this information we must bear in mind that we are obliged to preserve and maintain our natural resources, call in conscience and care and appreciate the importance of not destroying Mother Earth, we do not have to wait until April 22 to campaign against the destruction of forests and territory at a general level to take into account that without them our coexistence on this planet would be more difficult.
Take care of Mother Earth, value the place where we live and be aware that if we destroy nature we destroy ourselves, because breathing would become harder every day.

I also have the heart in taking care of the environment, in my country where wooden furnitures are considered classy, bigger trees are allowed to cut after securing a permit, then.they must be replaced/replanted.
