When we sit with a lot of kids in our classrooms we tend to get frustrated when there is a child that struggles or works very slow. The thing is we shouldn't get frustrated, we should rather look and ask for assistance with these children, because the earlier that we can catch their issues the earlier we are able to provide them with the proper assistance.

What symptoms should you be looking for:

  1. Learner has a problem pronouncing words.
  2. The learner has trouble finding the correct word.
  3. They have difficulty with rhyming.
  4. The learner have trouble learning the alphabet, numbers, colors, shapes and days of the week.
  5. They also have a difficulty in following directions or learning routines.
  6. They struggle controlling their crayons, pencils, scissors as well as coloring and cutting on or withing the lines.
  7. They also have trouble with buttons, zippers, snaps and learning to tie their own shoes.

Why is it important to identify learning problems early.

The earlier we can identify learning problems the earlier we can start with or without an intern.

REMEMBER: We have a lot of resources available now a days that we are able to know the signs and symptoms of any learning disability, because of this we can know a lot easier if their is something wrong with the learner.
