Write Along Challenge: Write a Book, Movie or Product Review

Heya Mamas!

Hope this post finds you all feeling well and happy. Today we are writing reviews as a part of our write-along challenge. For this challenge you can choose to write a book review, a movie review or a restaurant review.

Here are some basic guidelines to help you get started:

1. Make sure we know what you are reviewing! Check your spelling, links, and any specifics regarding what you are reviewing. We want to take your opinion seriously and won't be able to if you spell the Main Character's name wrong.

2. Be specific and be honest. If you are reviewing a movie and didn't like it, tell us specifically what you didn't like. "There was something off about it" won't cut it for a review. Was the movie too long? Were the characters hard to relate to? If you liked it, what specifically did you like? Did it keep you laughing? Were the characters lovable and good role models?

3. Talk about a range of elements. If you are reviewing a restaurant, let us know about the food, but also: were the bathrooms clean? How was the lighting? Was the staff friendly? Did you feel welcome?

4. Keep if friendly or at least civil. Assume that the people who you are reviewing will be reading your work. It is ok if you did not like something, it is not ok to insult or degrade. It is ok to give opinions it is not ok to give insults.
