One of the coolest things about Steemit is the opportunity to interact with great photographers all over the world. One of my favorite people I've met through this platform is the fun and fresh @jarvie, and as it so happened we realized that we would both be visiting the Phoenix area last week! We met up for sunrise at Papago Park on Monday morning to take some pictures and hang out. For those of you interested in @jarvie's perspective on the morning, you can check out his post to see what he had to say!
For those of you that don't know, @jarvie is a super legit photographer, a founder of @photogames, and an all-around fun dude. We had a great time climbing around on rocks, talking about Steemit, and taking pictures of each other standing on things. This was the first time I had ever met up with a photographer that I had only met online, so I wasn't quite sure what to expect, but it was a great experience and I'd love to do that sort of thing more in the future! Steemit is such a great tool for connecting people who have common interests, and I love that it gives incentive to create quality content together.
If any of you lovely people out there in Steemit world are ever in the Central Ohio area just let me know, I'd love to hang out! I'm looking forward to seeing what doors Steemit opens in the future.

PS: It reads as though you travelled with a friend of yours or something...I can't put my finger on it exactly, it's hidden along those lines, very subtle. If only I knew his name to check out if his pictures are as legit as yours....;)

Awesome dude! So cool to get out there and meet up with people IRL, obviously once you're sure they aren't going to murder your ass. Or the rest of you for that matter! Still, you're 1 and 0 on the whole meetup + not get killed front so that's a win!
Great shots too, although the pancake/bacon sandwich was kind of the headline stealer for me!

On the surface it looked like your everyday, run-of-the-mill pancake, but once you got inside it was filled with slivers of decadent bacon. The bacon and syrup combined into an ever-so subtle swirl of sweet and salty than complimented the hearty composition of the pancake perfectly.
